ya im on the new rom and kernel for the last few days now and anything over 1024 makes my phone act buggy, i had it heat up like crazy yesterday and it kept shutting down withhin a minute of booting up rom..left it at 1024 and it seems better now. plus at this point i wouldnt give up battery life for the extra litttle bit of power.

yeah i appologize.. like i said im still learning this as i go but after much much research i think it should be very stable now.. just need someone to test hdmi :D

will be uploading it in about 10-20 minutes.. just building the modules now :D

Out of curiosity what is everyone using to set the oc/governor? I've been using #2 for quite awhile and couldn't get plague kernel to stick an oc using either rom toolbox pro or setcpu. I've tried with these latest kernels the last couple of days and still no joy.

I tried the free version of system tuner yesterday and finally got an oc to stick, and smartass2. Phone is running great now. Considering buying the pro version - anyone have experience with that?

Anyway, just wondering because I've used rom toolbox pro and setcpu on both my Nook Color and Nexus 7 with no problems but couldn't get any joy using them to oc on the Esteem.

i think also once you set your sped, you need to power off, not restart from the powermod menu. it tells me values dontt apply because of a bad shutdown everytime

Doubt its the kernel. Havent had my phone overheat one time unless I had the screen on for an hour or so constantly.

Plus the govs dont stick so I doubt it was on the smartass gov.

well here's the thing... YES you can, i just updated the original speed kernel back to what it used to be LOL, but i just have 2 things to point out..

i used my phone pretty hardcore today but left it at 1024, i got no overheating issues at all...

and you say you are using smartass2 gvnr... but the only issue with that is 'as of now' the gvnrs dont even stick.. so i bet if you go back and check it says your using 'ondemand', but your pre-set may still be smartass2 LOL, so none of these listed issues should be the cause of your overheating.. because than i would have experienced it as well...?

but for safety reasons since you dont care to OC then yeah just flash the original speed kernel in OP ;)

Thanks L I just flashed it today so ima let the rom settle for couple day and see how it is but so far its fast as fuk I'm loving it :p :D great job. :thumbup:

I wiped and flashed again, everything good.

It was my boo boo. Dont know how the hell i did it, but when i compressed my "DoVeR" theme... two copies of the exact same files and folders were in zip. This is impossible! But i managed to do it! You cant have two of the exact same file name, the system will always rename the second to a _copy or copyof_ or somthing to that matter.

Anyway, when i flashed the zip, it really made my #2 "irregular"

Ohh....and dover theme fixed! Just a couple more things i want to mod, and some testing and i may just release to the family here

well you can set a lower voltage.. but i dont have any under-volting tweaks or whatever it's called... stock was always good as is.. all i did was add extra cpu freq's and 2 gvnrs... but somehow people think it's default settings are different... lol just need to let it settle in... trust me you'll like it.. o and flash this over #2 if your using it...
