In fact LG was pretty consistent as far as I can tell, allowing the certain leaks out as those leaks serve the purpose of keeping the interest high.

I don't know what they are going to do w/G3 "value" vs "G3 prime" being released almost at the same time and cutting off each other sales, but I hope they do have some sort of plan. In fact I am quite sure they do have one. Koreans are very smart.

I've got the Harman Kardon firmware, it's a big improvement over the already great stock M8. Huge improvement actually.

You enjoy that 1 Watt speaker (which btw, speakers don't come in watts) coming out of that little slit on the back of your giant screen.

I chose the model with the changes that anyone could hear as opposed to the extra dots that no one can see.

Meanwhile, rock on.

You know, I have my Yamaha A720 to listen to the music, I don't give a frek of what is coming out of this 1 watt speaker.

Video/photo/screen size /and not the huge resolution, which is probably "nice to have"/, that's what counts on my mobile.

I am amused at how people actually prioritize their use of phone's speaker. Could you tell me from your experience and personal view of it. How important and why is important that specify element of a speaker in a smartphone? Maybe you will help me understand the concept behind it...

I'm glad for you. The most important thing after all its that you as a consumer are satisfied and if you are, you have no reason not to be, and everyone should consider that .









Maybe having a reserved room for another plan will be tempting too ( lol joking)

Pretty much so..you still did not answer the question, where are you going to enjoy this wonderful Harman Cardon speakers? at home? at work? In your car?

I'm quite sure I'll be happy w/my G3. Maybe twice as much as you are happy w/your M8 .

Took a good look at all the features/customization options in the OP thread @ XDA yesterday.
Sounds like more than enough to quash my phone wanderlust & save the $ for another phone rainy day...............

I am constantly needing to deploy my phone as a speaker phone at work.

And constantly means that using my phone as a speakerphone happens nearly every day and often for longer calls.

To cope with that I've often had to schlep around a Bluetooth speaker or some wired ones.

As of today, I didn't have to deal with that. No more, oh wait while I screw with this, can you all hear ok, no more, no more.

And it's only going to improve when I get my kickstand case.

And sitting at my desk, I do like my tunes and my desktop ain't happening for that. So it's gotta be my iPod or my phone, wired headset ONLY. And as of now, my phone is the dead dog winner.

Finally, I don't mind sharing a good YouTube with someone. Four years ago I had the original Evo (with built-in kickstand) and it was usually no problem. For three years since, it has been. Again, no more problem there.

All that for about $70 including decent headphones, and no changes to my contract - I'd have been crazy not to do it.

PS - you gotta give time for the answer sometimes, I'm in a lot of places at once when I'm here.

The phone blogosphere who wouldn't know a camera if it bit them just screamed OMGZ PWNIES - per usual, as they find a way to do with every phone.

Phone reviewers - where click-through advertising is the only true reality. :rofl:

Yeah, I think if you look back, I've been pretty consistent when asked, sound was VERY high on my list.

I really liked the G2. I was naturally intrigued with the G3. Still am.

I like seeing great models with real differences between them. Real people have really different needs.

The day that Android stops being all about personal choice is going to be the day it dies.

Haven't done anything remotely like that since the ASCEND days w/CM7.

Yes, we all have different needs.

To me the opportunity to have the video on my phone equal to the video on my x920 is astonishing.

Not that I believe that, frankly.

Everything else, except the phone being a phone, aka being able to call, fades.

We'll see.

Most probably T-Mo will release it on July 1st.
I'll be back home on July 12.

So I order around July 7 or so, to be delivered when I am back.

Unless you all get them and tell me it's borked, or it fails when I play with it, I'll be in the G3 camp.

Just as I said when I returned to the thread - I knew then that I wasn't getting one, and I only came to throw rocks at lies from the blogosphere and marketing, not the phone.
