Hey, congratulations!

Finally someone with the actual device on this thread.

Could you comment on my post:
No problem, I'll answer what I am able to at the moment...

the only thing that bothers me at this point is this "dim", not enough brightness.

Everything else:

- Battery life: non-issue, spare as usual, check;
- camera/cam, most prolly the best possible, especially w/mod, check;
- easy root, check;
- screen size/phone size, check;
- RAM/Storage, check;
- CPU, 801, enough for me, check;
- IR learning remote, check;
- speaker, prolly worse than M8, does not matter for me, check;
- price, most prolly fair, $650 or less/bundle possible, check;
- unlocked bootloader, custom ROMs, Big Unknown.
The screen is definitely not the brightest screen I've seen on a device. With that being said I have had no problem at all with the screen in direct sunlight. My LG G Flex is barely usefull in bright daylight, and is less bright then the G3.

Regarding the camera I haven't had time to test it thoroughly, but so far it seems like a decent upgrade from the G2 and G Flex, the autofocus i really fast, although the difference between the S5 and G3 autofocus speed is barely noticeable.

Regarding the size, the G3 is perfect for me. After I got the G Flex i thought the G2 was a tad too small, and the G Flex was 0,3 or 0,4" too large, so the G3 is just perfect. (If you have small hands, or are a female with normal size hands, I would go to a store and check it out in real life, as it is quite big)
The nordic version weighs 154grams which I think is decent for such a big phone. I must say I am glad the quick circle covers replaces the normal back cover though, mostly because I am lefthanded, and the flipping the cover is going to be hard enough as it is, as it's made for right handed ppl.

- Love QuickRemote, I use it all the time. And I'm so glad you're able to configure remotes that the device does not yet know, as my Pana reciever isn't recognised by either the G2, G Flex, G3 nor the S5.

The speaker is def. louder/Clearer than the G Flex and G2. Also beats the S5, unfortunately I do not have a One, so I don't know if it's on pair with the front facing Speakers, although I doubt it..

Price here in Denmark is 4500 danish kroners for the 16/2GB version, unlocked contract free, including 25% sales tax ($820). Odly enough the 32/3GB version is 4571 dkk. including one month of unltd. talk/text/data (5GB lte data) ($835) - with no further contract.
It's $150 more than the G2 was at launch, but still $150 less than the S5 was, although the 16GB S5 and 16GB G3 are the same price now..

Sorry about the late reply, I was denied acess to my train ride, due to it being full :S (Yep we also have crappy public transportation)

At the Pittsburgh Pirate game and two people in front of me have the G2 as do I. We are having ourselves a little get together :)

G3 prime super secret leak :)

LG decided to up the ante. This one sports an Intel I7 4770T and 6V 18AH lithium battery. G3 length and width maintained, but the depth had to be nudged up a bit, to 2.5", for the battery. Weight took a minor hit, the new unit comes in at just over 1.2 pounds...

OMG! OMG! There's going to be an 810 version!

LG G3 US release date for Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile; Pre-order starts on the 10th | Christian News on Christian Today

Think they'll fix their typo sooner or later? :D

Seems to me that Christian Today took the Verizon date and translated it to everything else. They even mentioned that Sprint had previously been "rumored" with a July 25 release date.

Evan (Ev) hasn't tweeted anything about other providers.

Now, for those on the fence with the G3, might want to consider the Z2, if you're on Verizon:
Verizon customers: your wait for the Sony XPERIA Z2 will not have been in vain. The delay, if you want to call it that, is due to the fact that a very specific variant, one that supports LTE-Advanced, must wind its way through the certification and t

Do not sleep tonight. We need you.
Don't wory, I have a 4 hour train ride in front of me, so I'll have it on Youtube before that :-)

BUT i made a poor choice regarding the location in which i shot the video. I just moved, so there's a lot of reverb on the recording. That coupled with my poorly spoken/mumbled english might not make the viewing experience top notch :/

(I think it will be live on Youtube in 2 hours, depending on how spotty the lte coverage is)

(stupid tapatalk quote bug removed, I'm talking about the Sony)

I was stoked about Sony coming here someday until I talked to El Presidente after he got his top line model last year.

Not rooter friendly.

Unlocking the bootloader? Piece of cake. No problem.

And as soon as he did, it locked him out of the cool camera features and all of the other Sony goodies.

Maybe no big deal for the majority of users but rooters beware.

ooh, thanks for chiming in EM. For a while, I had been going that Sony would start offering their to tier phones on all the providers, but that info would cause many to stay away, even if they did start offering across the board.

I really have liked how their hardware has looked though. Very aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

I wanted the Sony EP had *really badly* until he clued me in. :(

Was it the Xperia that came out the same year as the 3VO and Photon? Whatever phone model that was, that's the first year that I thought to myself, I wonder why Sony hasn't jumped into to offering their phones across all the US providers? I even liked the UI, which was heavily criticized for being "too heavy", and it's rare that I actually like an OEM UI (w/ exception to Sense, even when that was considered just as heavy).

No no, this was fairly recently.

Turns out the "premium" wifi provided in the train (for $6) is not that premium after all... After one hour of uploading 1% is uploaded, "only" 912 minutes to go, and rising! :S
