LG was (and is) pretty unhappy w/Google selling Nexuses basically for cost.

Not a lick of truth to it. No only not in the same ballpark as the truth, not in the same city, state, league, sport, country or even planet where the truth is.

It's quite possibly the best Android meme of all time.

If one plus had the same availability as nexus 5, do you think they would have had better chances and impact at sales and recognition?

Despite the OnePlus One coming from Oppo as nothing more than a way to build hype over vaporware getting in under the wire stealing HTC's popular trade name, we've all managed to hear about this wonder phone because press weasels (see: inventors and holy keepers of the Nexus at cost meme) have been holding themselves and doing the pee-pee dance ever since and now, it's a new phone from a new company (so let's be patient), it's got the best specs ever (omg I must get people to realize that), the best operating system ever (so what if their last stable release was Gingerbread, I love it it's teh bestest) and by God, it's being sold at cost too (omg omg omg omg).

I tried to understand your question, got as far as the above and the rest of my opinion on it, I promise, no one wants to hear.

Things are so slow here, I am re-visiting the Neanderthal Bezel Iphone 6 rumors. Also.....Don't let Steven visit the Verizon store this weekend or the TMobile Test Drive Store. Activate his ankle bracelet.
 
Get this: (I am livid). My student lost her house in a natural disaster and her job a month earlier. She had no phone and racked up a surprisingly high ‪‎vzw‬ bill of 600.00 dollars due to emergency calls to the insurance company, etc.

Verizon Wireless wouldn't budge much on the bill. And get this: When she upgraded from unlimited, they didn't offer her loyalty max (6gb of data), they forced her onto a 2 gb cap. ‪I rarely use this word? but I AM MEGA PISSED.

For even more kicks go look up the teardowns. Pay close attention to the callouts where they show that the inside of the Nexus is built far more cheaply and poorly than the matching LG.

What that story really did was draw parallels against a retailer's claim.

You'll pardon the headache I got rolling my eyes at that - but hey, you go right ahead and enjoy that. :rofl:

Meanwhile, I'll simply rely on the first hand information I have from visiting and working with senior management in the facilities in the Far East producing your consumer goods.
