Wow, looks like you have had experiences with them and you are one of the few who can see beyond Apple's motive and manipulative marketing to enslave poor eye candy consumers.

Tell me more!!!

They all do it to some extent.

There is no perfect phone and I don't believe that there is a best phone.

I do believe that there is a best phone for any one of us at any point in time.

If someone says to me that the iPhone is best for them, just the right features and what they want, I sincerely congratulate them on a good decision.

I'm living proof that choosing the right features can be hard.

If someone comes to me thinking that either an iPhone or an Android of some brand has the all the quality, I'm not having any. I don't care if it's hardware, software, updates, fragmentation, you name it. There are memes and there's the truth. They're not the same.

They all mass produce and rely on returns rather than 100% quality with zero defects - because they'd be too expensive any other way.

And they all have marketing departments that lie. I can cite equal examples from LG, HTC, Samsung, you name it.

Buy what works for you and floats your boat but don't wear blinders and always stand up for your consumer rights.

That's how I look at all this.

Yes, that works. After all, everyone is entitled to their own decisions. But what really gets to me is that there is a vast majority of people who are so convinced apple or iPhone is the ultimate phone, there is no flaw to it, it's perfect. Even if they don't have some useful feature like android has. they believed to themselves that they don't need it, but when they acquired that feature," iOS was the one who invented and others copied " people gets satisfied with limited and really unfair things, some are not even aware they are being restricted.

I am Noone to judge but man those apple staff sure loves the loyalty they have under their umbrella. It's saddening in one way. I have to admit apple had innovated some awesome concepts and ideas but they have hardly invented anything, but apparently they want to own every single "cool" idea people developed with the ambition to take the whole world. I guess apple is really domination hungry.

And then there are these lame suing battles. In some cases I do agree with Apple, you have to protect your key selling points but to go to the extreme just kinda diminishes their names reputation... What happened to fighting for innovation battle rather than trying to prevent something someone else originally initiated.

I recognized that most manufacturers also do some impolite things at least you get to choose and have the freedom to decide. Not being stuck to one thing.

Marketing apparently seems to be the stepping stone for sales and attractions for costumers. And we all know how far and how awesome manufacturer try to be in their ads and promos. *cough * apple, Sammy *cough *.

Taking away people's divinity is what some branding name are so expert at doing, and it's contagious to those without a fundamental knowledge.

I don't think about what other people believe about their phones.

When I was very young, I guess not long after I started walking, practically everyone would hand me a penny, just for looking sharp and smiling politely when we met.

From that moment it became obvious to me that I'd get bigger, look even sharper and smile even more politely.

Nailed it. All three. Out of the park.

Logic dictates that by now, everyone ought be handing over at least... what? A thousand? Fair enough.

So far as I can tell, the entire world is not noticing that they're not each forking over my thousand dollars every time anyone sees me looking sharp and smiling nice.

And that especially includes strangers, they were in on the penny deal, I promise.

When I start getting the money everyone owes me, then I'll have more time to wonder about other things. Maybe I'll join you on the figuring out the iPhone thing. But not before.

Not everyone walks in the same path, I guess each person has to find his/her way...

well, I am feeling the following: Resentment. I'm sick of waiting for the Verizon specs on this while the phone is out and in the hands of Korean people. I'm like "meh". Losing interest, etc. From what I can gather, this will be the last big thing type phone to be released until the fall seasonal christmas push. This phone was supposed to be "so much", but there's no 805, no waterproofing, no usb 3. I'd buy the s5 now, but there's no VZW root. As much as I like a good fone, locked isn't for me. I learned that the hard way with the Droid X. I loved the phone but was miserable with the root/rom experience. Being able to change the kernel, the clockspeed and governor was novel to me. And to boot: to be able to go back and forth between bootloaders without bricking my phone? The Gnex gave me that novel experience. I could switch between gb and jb and kk at whim. No brick. Imagine that. Choice. What a novel idea.

TBH, I'm curious to see what this Tmo/Sprint deal means to me as a rooted user. Clearly the whole (in this case) should be greater than the sum of its parts with regard to coverage.

While I still have my Gnex, I'm the boss of my upgrade and the choice remains mine. Frankly, VZW's shenanigans, during the past year or two, have left me much less loyal to them. I used to be a vzw fanboi. Early can vouch for that. The are losing me by being over controlling.

Frankly, I find John Legere to be uber cool with his "Go F yourselves" attitude to the mainline carriers. It mirrors what I feel as well. He speaks to me. So? I wait. I owe VZW nothing. Sure, my family is on their plan, but I'm month to month. They're happy. Their not rooted users. I am... in.a.big.way.

/rant... /vent.

I think the initial reviews have put me at a 99% chance I'm buying this phone. I've had the M7 and love the form factor, but it gets very hot, battery isn't great, camera is pretty poor, and reception isn't great. It seems like the G3 is good in sunlight, the display is at a minimum as good as the M8 or S5 (better in certains scenarios), the camera is similarly either as good or better than most, and the battery sounds like I can get through a day.

I have relatively big hands and pockets, so I'm not worried about size. Being waterproof/resistant would have sealed it, but if Sprint can deliver on the 3/32 I think I'm emotionally committed. Now if they would just announce a firm delivery date!

Although no phone is perfect, this one to me seems to have almost no negatives if you like the size.

Still not a peep from anyone about when and what model except Tmo. The carrier with coverage only a mother could love in Kentucky and a fair chunk of Ohio.

Added: Best Buy manager dude is sticking with the tidbit that Tmo has short term exclusivity on the 3/32. He has an accuracy record of about 50%, so flip a coin ;)

Every day I can't buy this phone is an opportunity for another phone to impress me.

Ok so I'm not all that impatient on this one but I did have to lol. Been there. :D

Hahaha...Me too. And it did end up happening to me, when there was a lot of hype behind the LG Optimus G. The early, early leaks in January 2012, had that phone with a removable battery and microSD card, so I was really intrigued by it, even though LG didn't have a great reputation.

Then, when the phone was announced, it was being praised for it's nice unique design, but the carrier variants were slightly different, but most importantly, the Sprint version didn't have a microSD slot or a removable battery, so I transferred my attention to the Note 2 and the rest was history (got addicted to the S-Pen and Note series).

Now, circumstances are slightly different because I'm getting the G3 regardless, but only as a secondary device...so, I'm being fairly patient about it. And for my primary, I'll wait to see what the Note 4 is like, if I even use my own upgrade.

Note doesn't have nothing on the sexy lg g3 :).

Yeah I'm with you drex. The longer it takes for a phone to come out that I want, the less money I'm throwing out the window on what really has become not much more than a hobby for me. I like to root, break things, fix them, rinse and repeat. :D
