All the reviews so far have been the Korean model. This could suggest we are still at least several weeks from a US retail launch. There was an apparent unboxing of a Tmo model, but reviews so far that I have seen are the model sold in Asia.

Yeah, I'm guessing a month or so out for any US models.

Hmmm, so I guess the battery life jury is still out. 30% increase over the G2 though? Call me pessimistic but I'm not feeling it.

Two 3000 mAh batteries. One with a 5.2" 1080x1920, the other with a 5.5" 1440x2560. And the latter is the winner?

That 801/330 must be one good pairing.

I think it's being said that 801 actually becomes more battery efficient than 805 but all that we don't know for certain

I don't put much stock in PA testing of battery. The don't say what OS version was in each model and at what brightness level.
GSMarena updated G2 battery rating after KK update and it got nice bump from JB even beating S5. PA probably didn't bother to do the same for G2.

Don't accept the update in the event it may break the current root exploit. If that's a concern to you that is. I'm guessing the TMO variant will be as they already broke the method on 4.4.

It kind of really makes me angry.

Why do they bother at all?

We the tweakers are the small percent of their user base. So we wanna have our phones rooted. So why play this cat and mouse game?

I'm kinda wondering how much more we can talk about this thing not knowing a thing about it. :p

speak for yourself.:p

Of course some of us are busy investigating SG5, M8 and other craphones.

But those who are on the mission know a lot about the subject :D

I saw the red m8 in the verizon store today. I was debating pulling the trigger.

Yeah, the M8 is a beautiful phone, and I love HTC. But the phone signal is crap, I'm assuming due to the metal construction. Worse than the notoriously bad Samsung radios in the S5. I was so disappointed to discover that, as I would have had one by now if not for that.

Well, that kills it, then. I really need call quality and connectivity badly.
