I think most of these people you refer to get iphones or Samsung S whatevers. The G2 and G3 and the so-called prime phones aren't going to sell as well to the mainstream mostly due to the marketing hype directed at the average consumer, etc.

Pretty sure that iPhone buyers know that you can get them with different storage options. And I know that sales reps try to upsell that.
Not sure that storage is all that mysterious of a concept.

I think everyone including iPhone users pay very close attention to the storage size in particular. The iPhone is sold in 16/32/64. Or as it feels to me in that particular market...the one anybody might afford, the one you should really get, and the one only the really cool kids can have.

The Beautiful manipulation that Apple display with its iPhone it's ridiculous. How can 16gb difference or 32gb difference cost 50-100$ more. Instead you see that in one plus 16 to 64gb would could around 34 dollars difference.
Surely making people believe that since it is expensive the brand or the "i" can justify the cost. That's brand value for you...

This whole subject is a tough call. I mean why did verizon get the wireless charging and no one else with the G2? Why does a Premium phone even offer a lower spec? Do carriers even have any say in what they get? Frankly I wish they did business like Apple and everyone gets the exact same thing. Some of us don't have any choice what carrier we are with and then are stuck with whatever they have or don't have. bleh . . . .
Exclusives are either shopped by the maker, or a buyer for a carrier beats the other to the exclusive punch. It can be either way, but is the carrier that makes the call in either case.
IF it is correct (if), that would mean either LG floated the offer (they would start with the biggest carrier and work down from there), or a Tmo buyer requested this. You know, either case the bigger carrier has the bigger revenue hammer.
In either case, VZW and AT&T likely turned it down and are going with the 2/16 for more unit volume. Of course, if most carriers offer both, or just the 3/32 out of the gate- the exclusivity for this device is false

Nice! Too bad the G3 wasn't released in time for all of us to enjoy watching it on that 5.5 QHD phone screen. I'm not a big soccer/futbol fan, but enjoy watching every now and then. Didn't realize Univision had an app that streams. Very cool. Any sports app that I can stream sports (regardless of what it is), is a "must have" for me.

Pretty sure this app can be disabled, just as the LOOKOUT app can be disabled on the G-FLEX.
My line of thinking w/this was why, when ANDROID DEVICE MANAGER is already available?

Another marketing gimmick for the average consumer. I personally rely on cereberus. The story about the one android user not only helping apprehend a thief, but also recovering good phone was enough to sell me on its capabilities. Thanks to the free Google Play credits i got from my Note 8 and note 3 purchases, no money out of pocket to buy that app.
