Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][4.4.4]CARBON ROM Kitkat 4.4.4 for LG Optimus F6 [LOTS OF FIXES]

In the about phone setting I think thats, the tab, whichever one. At the botton of settings. Tells you about the rom and phone .
 
Carbon is good after you do the tweaks...
I've had a few shut downs.....

It takes a minute or two of holding the power button to get it humming again... But it goes back to normal....

It has allot of apps constantly trying to run in the background.... So battery life isn't as great as rooted and modded stock.. .. Or stripped down custom ROM installs...

It makes your memo button a just about useless feature... Charging and notification have no fancy flashing light... Because the ROM isn't built for this phone SPECIFICALLY (emphasis on that word.. It was re built for it... But not exactly.. Therefore... Those mentioned features did not have to support)..

Which is a minor bummer if you fell in love with them before, during, or after buying the phone....

BUT!!!!!!..... it's worth a go... Because IT IS jammed with fancy mega geeky features that I guarantee you will take days to tweak to your liking....

Crazy cool awesome themes.... It's amazing.... I cannot decided weather I like it more than CM11..I know it's based on it...

but if neither had these qwerks.... CARBON would still win... It's totally (in my mind) more flexible and malleable to anyone's liking if they like tons of features and not scared to explore...

Well it's a darn shame I had to go back to the stock ROM due to no GPS I have verified that it also does not work in CM11 also. So at this point I am just going to use the stock rom until we can get a more fully functional rom where atleast the GPS works. Please Don't get me wrong I truly love this rom it's freaking awsome. But no GPS is a deal breaker for me sorry I can live with out bluetooth. I will keep a close eye on this rom as I will run the crap out of it when it gets a bit further. Please Keep up the Awesome job you have done on this rom DM..

GPS DO WORKS....!!! Make sure u did a clean install... Flash kernel fix... Flash latest P.A Gaaps full modular 4.4.x
On carbon settings/performance set cpu to 1.18 max 594 min so u dont get. Random reboots..
 
Just for giggle reasons I will wipe my phone and try to reinstall one more time. and then I will try it again. The last time I used the GPS function it rebooted my phone twice. The app I use the GPS is unable to be located. I put back to full stock rom and went back into the app and the GPS has full bars on it. All I get when using GPS in this app is a spinning circle like it's trying to find the the Satelites and the GPS icon also stayed up top for 24 hours before the phone rebooted on it's own. this is also after I clocked the CPU up . Also the app I use is very laggy and slow I am not sure what that means but under the Stock rom it's fast without any lag. But thanks for the reply and I will try it again thank god I have 2 of these phone's one to use and one to play with Or blow up your choice.
 
Try using it @ 1.18 max 600 min... The reason for the reboot its cus cpu 1 it may not be online or its to low it may b on interactive if u can hav both of them ondemab it may work ...u can use an app to hav mpu on.. But i think that DM turned them on if u can find an app to calibrate
 
Ok I completely reloaded everything in the phone including the newest Gapps of 01/17/2015 then tested GPS I was lucky to find 3 satelites. Then I tried the stock rom and got like 20 Satelites so I would say there is a problem with the GPS in this rom. Also it caused the phone to reboot while trying to test the GPS.
 
that or the app your using may only be compatiable with jellybean and not this kitkat port.idk i dont use gps much but your the first ive heard that has an issue like this

First of all that doesn't seem to b Carbon file most likely u are with Xperion... If u remove that ur bootloader will Not b patch n u can encounter a brick... That is ur LOKI.PATCH do not remove from any of the roms that u flash
 
ya that indicates your using gts lok like kry said and if your somehow using that with carbon it could indicate why your having issues too.carbon needs the carbon kernal to work right,not the gt stuff lol.not dissing @GameTheory work just stating your basically mixing jellybean files with a kitkat port if this is in fact what your doing o_O. thats like putting bacon in your oatmeal.idc what anyone says,bacon doesnt go with everything

No im actually on xperion untill DM finishes his projects:D ,
Krlypumaa thanks for your answer its just that im debloating and modifying the xperion rom to my taste ^-^ (boots,specific sounds,look etc) and at the root of the zip flashable with the meta and system folders was that .loki file that i didnt recognize
 
that keeps your recovery stable.focus on all else but honestly dont change the recovery.it serves its purpose.if you want visuals that isnt the place to look.not dissing you.i may seem pushy but honestly ive seen many people brick and not know how to fix self because of the unknown.i dont want you to do anything that hinders you is all.thats why we give our 2 cents.weve been in the game alot longer.theres always something new to explore sure,but usually the advice we give is because at one time when we were new,we encountered this.i play the dangerous feild as do devs and other beta testers.weve gotten lucky,we find fixes in case something goes wrong,but we do this to save others the hassle of messing up their devices.we put our devices on the line for the general public
