Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][F6] Xperion ROM **Updated 2/11/2015**

Liking this rom. Super easy to install. Only problem I'm having is getting to cmw from xrecovery. I keep restarting to phone and cant seem to reboot to cmw. Am i doing something wrong? Any tips?

I'm going to replace that menu in the next update, I mentioned that 2 posts up.

Install pressy4pie's recovery from here. Then use my app from here to boot into recovery.

If you really don't like it, install GravityBox from XPosed and change to holo background.
 
Just reposting this for those that may have missed it...

Here's a tiny little app I made called "Recovery Reboot" to reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery. In the next update to this rom I will replace the xrecovery settings menu with this.

This would be the fastest way to get into recovery.

This will be an alternative to using "F6Utilities2" to reboot into recovery?
 
Someone mentioned it before, about the network signal indicator turning into a white box. I occasionally caught a glimpse of it doing it. But it's hard to report something that doesn't have a repeatable cause. I enabled the Wi-Fi calling feature today, and once the Wi-Fi calling icon showed up (yellow icon), the network signal bars turned into a white box with grey bars.

Yeah I told that person there's nothing I can do since I'm not having that issue.
 
i seen it too but its no biggie as long as the ROM work's all round and Sir.Theory what linux would you recommend for rooting android phones? Ubuntu,Arch,Gentoo,Debian,

I use ubuntu and I always recommend it to linux beginners since it's the most widely used distro in the world and most supported. This means you'll be able to find a solution to anything you encounter easily.

I can also confirm this happens with wifi calling enabled. The signal bars become a blank, white box if reception is zero as well.

It's a weird little issue, doesn't really effect much. It's just a minor cosmetic thing. This ROM is so close to perfection, why not go all the way? :-P I'll let you know if it fixes it!

I just configured my VPN. I'm using TorGuard and it seems to work well. I have to navigate thru "System Settings">"Tethering and Networks>"VPN". I searched for a widget/shortcut that I could put on my homescreen. Do you have any ideas as to how to create a home screen shortcut to VPN? I thought you might have some idea - this being your ROM?


EDIT: For whatever reason, my phone required me to choose a "Lock Screen" security [I chose a button swipe] before allowing me to activate my VPN. Do you know of a way to circumvent this? I normally never use any kind of security on my lock screen.


EDIT2: Should I repost this in another thread [or forum]?
 
Hey GameTheory could you incorporate superSU or superuser which one ever you prefer to the settings menu? I thought it was a neat idea, thanks this is just a suggestion. :D
 
Now, that I have to use the lock screen [with a swipe pattern to unlock], I find that if swipe "too soon" after reboot, the phone reboots again. Even though the lock screen is presented, I have to wait some undefined amount of time before swiping? Anyone seen anything like this?

I had this problem the first day i got my f6 so it isn't the rom ;p I just give it 10 seconds after it boots and it works perfecty

If any one has SD.Mod or any other mod in it. That would happen cus the script hav to run first. If u unlock in any way (swipe,passwrd,pin,etc.) U are breaking the running time of the script or any other scripts u hav and it can cause malfunction in the boot.
So just be patient with it.

It has been about a month, So far is running smoothly.
No kernel, on SD.Mod.
But i hav a ..?.. which is the signal radio that you used.(12B ) how can i do to flash 10i radio cus i think reception was a lot better in my area.
