MLB 2022

Ohtani had an eight RBI night last night against the Royals who won the game in eleven innings. Tonight Ohtani pitched through eight innings pitching a shutout with thirteen strikeouts. Both nights were career highs for him. A one man team!

I really miss rooting for the Padres but I'm glad I missed that. That is Royals like baseball. Bean em or walk em in is my teams pitching mindset. Lets not talk about all of the passed balls base advancements and scores. The Royals have to hold that record as well.

Plus our Pitcher Snell i believe , is the one that Took out Bryce Harper by hitting him.... he just had surgery on his thumb to i think

A bright spot in the Royals roster is young Bobby Witt Jr. He swings a good stick and is an excellent infielder. It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see him traded away for pitchers and compensation this off season. He's too good to be wearying Royal blue.

The Royals iron man, Whit Merrifield, couldn't go today due to a bone bruise in his big toe. He had the longest active streak in the bigs with 553 consecutive starts. Do keep in mind that it doesn't take a great player to make the Royals' roster. But he is a gamer and I know he is crushed to break his streak.

The Royals swept the Twins in a double today. I know I know... but hey, even sweeping the Twins is an accomplishment for the Royals. Bobby Whitt Jr. had his first 4 hit game today. He's looking good.

Yeah, the city connect jerseys are pretty lame, if not totally awful, for the most part. I do actually like the Rockies and the old-timey' looking ones (Cubs for example). I totally hate Boston's and similar, blech.

The Royals bounced back from their two good games yesterday with lousy defense today. A four error night with three of them in the four run seventh which was a dagger. Two of the game errors were committed by Bobby Witt Jr.

Welp. It was nice having Sale back for a game and a not full inning start. Who knows how long he'll be out this time, 'cause right now that finger looks pretty mangled - dang.
They are well on the way to imploding anyway but this just isn't going to help.

It's the top of the 9th, it's not looking good for Boston, they're losing 27-5. That's tied for the most runs scored against them, the mlb record is apparently 30. I say screw it, let's go Toronto, get those 4 runs and do it right! Oh, don't forget the in the park grand slam, it was certainly a highlight... *facepalm*

I switched to the season finale of The Old Man (which I really enjoyed) in like the 4th because yeah.

The Royals actually broke out in the bottom of the eighth with three go ahead runs to beat the Rays tonight. Brady Singer was the Royals starting pitcher and he was on for a change and managed 12 strikeouts with only two walks and gave up 2 runs in 6 innings. I don't know where that has been all year but I liked it.
