updated again

for some reason, i noticed during this updating process i lost my partition. i opened up eeasus and it showed my 16gb card had 13.88 gbs of unused memory and no partition (i had dt a2sd on froyo). when i tried to turn my phone back on to usb mass storage, it doesnt even show a memory card.

edit: after trying to repartition with cwm, i opened easeus and it now show i have 12.9 gbs and no partition. am im losing memory on the card?!

update: after trying to create a new partition with minitool partition wizard it said "if you like to create serveral partitions on this disk, you need to remove all existiing partitions first". i dont see any

i had that same problem where it turned a 32gb into a 4gb. so be careful with the partitioning.

also try removing sd from your pc & plugn it back in & then running the minitool or easus to c if any extra partitions show that u tried to create thru cwm.

it should show @ least one if it registered 12.9gb.
but save all your files on yur pc & try repartitioning the whole thing to c if u get your space back. if u do, split it thru the mini tool or easus & just move your files back into the fat32 partition.

sounds like you have the files in the wrong slots. be sure to put all three .tar files in their proper places, verify the "one package" box on the left is not selected, remove your sd card and try again.
No I made sure I had the right files in the right slots. Do I need to take my sd card out before doing this?

No I am not running any other program like that and I did try a different port, but not a different cable or computer. Changing the port did not help.

i would suggest removing battery, and sdcard and try again if that does not work try different usb cable if that does not work try different computer

Hey chin checka,

I use the first link you provided in the quote. The Super User app is there but I can't find or access Titanium Backup after downloading and installing it. The market place says its installed but the open button is greyed out, and there isn't an app link in my apps list.

I was able to figure everything out and phone and sd car work properly now, but now when I plug my phone as a mass usb drive, the computer doesnt recognize it anywhere. I'm trying to put all my music and files back on there.

I recently used Odin to flash to Gingerbread with root and I noticed that whenever I press the button on the top of my phone to turn the screen on that there is about a 1 second lag before the screen turns on. This didn't happen before when I had Froyo. Anyone else notice this or is it just me? I flashed it again on my phone just to make sure and the lag is still there.

try removing the titanium from the market via the android market website on your pc. then reinstall the app thru your phones market.. my TB is working fine, but i didnt install thru market. i had the pro apk on my sd, so i didnt use the market to install it.

same here. didnt really notice it until u mentioned it. flashed it back to froyo & it does run a bit faster.. also flashed the stock gingerbread odin image & same thing. not sure why it does this though...

Well it's good to know I'm not going insane then. Guess I'll have to deal with it for now.

I need help Odin doesn't. Work it keeps saying cannot. Open USB. Serial port what do I do?

I have ee14 and shabvymob0.9

well you obviosly have the right drivers since you have shabbymod and have the zip since youre running odin...so onto step 3 from the OP. did you put your phone into download mode first...and afterward plug in your phone?

http://androidforums.com/galaxy-pre...tock-factory-updated-11-09-a.html#post2953252
1. Download and unzip the file.
2. Install the Samsung USB drivers (if you dont have them already)
3. From a powered off phone, put phone in Download Mode by holding Vol down, Camera Button, and Power button until the Yellow Downloading message appears
4. Plug phone into USB port
5. Open Odin, you should see a yellow box with a com number
6. Select SPHM820.ops file and the PHONE.tar, and PDA.tar in the appropriate Boxes
7. Click Start

yes did all that as well

I had that same issue. What fixed it for me: I used link2sd's menu, hit "more" then "recreate mount script." It asked what type partition, which I selected "ext2" (check whichever type you used, whether ext2, ext3, or ext4). It then popped up a window that said to reboot. Rebooted (if that message pops up after reboot, it said to redo the operation). Once it rebooted without any error, all was working right. Hope this helps.

That worked with conjunction with the fiels he provided(cache) one..
Ok so after taking all the steps provided.. i themed, then did A2sd---great market works.. BUT no sd-ext--titaniumbackup shows no partition--i dont get it why cant i get shabby 0.9 with honeycomb to work with A2sd- also when i go into A2sd GUI---i turned what is supposed to be on, on- but cant move dalvik cache to sd-ext thats prob because its not seeing it which i dont understand- and when i tried link2sd again to change/make sure ext was 2--says mount script cannot be created.. Mount..invalid argument ext2 may not be supported

I'm sorry, this is all new for me. I played around briefly and didn't see where I could download the apk. Also where do I place it within the phones files?

Its cool.. Gotta learn somewhere...

U can download TB off the android market. all your installed apps should be located in either the system/app folder or also data/app folder on your device. u can use root explorer, or any free file browsing app if u dont wanna pay for the app, to view those rooted files & folders.

check if TB is located there. if so, delete the apk & re-download off the market.

cannot open usb serial port code 32 keeps popping up

After a quick search and reading in a few other forums...most seemed to think code 32 had to do with not having admin rights on your computer. Make sure you have admin rights. Also some others had a problem with a program "Samsung Kies" running at the same time...If youre using Kies you may have to kill that first. If not and If you have admin rights, and have tried other usb ports...perhaps try restarting your computer or try it on another computer. Hope that helps.
