Still wondering about that music/notification shade integration. No images or videos out there? Streaming from GMusic is a huge huge part of my everyday. So while the notification shade is pretty handy (I currently already have that feature) I'm really a fan of long pressing the volume rocker to skip tracks. Its been so long since I've used stock android- is this feature present in Gingerbread or any rumblings of it being present in ICS?

No, because it only applies on phones that are activated.

If you're planning on getting a GNex for sure whenever it comes out, I say get a temporary phone for now so you can catch the Double Data.
 
I have to say, that Verizon has a way of aggravating people with the way they hold onto information. It was that way with the HTC Incredible. Not the Droid X, but the Incredible. I know there have also been some other instances, like with the Bionic and Thunderbird.

I think I have a suggestion for Verizon. A bit more openness and honesty would help their phone fans stay stable.

And yet it seems that despite casting a negative shadow on themselves among the community, it does rack up quite a bit of buzz and hype. Sometimes I wonder if they do that intentionally or what...

I bought mw3 and then sold it soon after. I just couldn't stand how bad it looked after playing bf3 for 2 weeks.

how long is the trade in window for a new phone. because im worried about picking up a phone, then getting stuck with it if the gnex release is over the return window. and i deff cant afford a unlocked phone. also, does anyone know specifically when the double data deal ends?

The returns should be through the 15th of january
And the double data ends on 11/30

Amazon said DD ends 11/30. What I would do is buy a new phone as close to that date as possible because the return period is 14 days after activation.

DD s for a limited time...no real date given yet on VZWs site that I could find
 
this is depressing, is the iphone better for games? i'd get the samsung galaxy 2s if it was available on verizon. but just the fact that samsung's phone from april beats it in graphics performance, just pisses me off. oh well, i'm used to this with verizon. we always get the worst phones :(

and to boot, one of the reviewers at verge said he can see the pentile BS effect, even though countles posters in this thread scream that at 720p you can not, even though they've never seen the phone and he has.
