This will be my first android phone (coming from my Iphone 4). I do want the newest tech. I want an HD screen, and I get the pure google experience as opposed to sense, etc. But I could still use a little advice before I jump the gun..... Is the SGN $250 better than the Rezound???? That Costco deal does sound decent.

for all us tristate people do you guys recall the person that got trampled at walmart i think it was last year. Its no joke how crazy people get on black friday

Yeah she is giving me the play by play. I am back at home, nice and warm. She is now in Belk line, which opens in over 4 hours... its 32 degrees out (in GA, that is actually quite cool).

most of us arent sure yet, since we dont own one yet. are you already a vzw customer? if not, the rezound is only a penny on amazon for black friday

Sort of off topic.

I'm visiting my parents for Thanksgiving and they are looking to upgrade their phones. Since they have a Costco membership, I'm trying to point them towards the Rezound. With it being an online upgrade, there is no option for keeping unlimited data and instead they make you choose a data package. Has anyone gone through the Costco upgrade and is it possible to keep the unlimited data they already have via the online upgrade process at Costco?

Thanks in advance!

I'm turning in early. I have a mega day at work because I took off teaching my students today and had to make up lessons. They pay by the month, you see. So..

"try not to kill each other!"

I hope everyone had a special Thanksgiving. I did. :D

I don't think it's just mind over matter. Take a look:

SGN:

The SGSII seems to be better saturated than the SGN.

It took me a minute. I was wondering why the headphones were listening to the VHS tape then I realized I was confused all together.:o

Steven, I will try extra hard tonight, not to kill anyone. It's just so hard ;)

... But again, CWRecovery is working on the GSM Galaxy Nexus. Those with the engineering units are loving this. ...
fixed, they will have to work out another one for the VZW version if i read correctly earlier
That was the expectation. But based on what I have read elsewhere, the "GSM" version is working on a VZW LTE engineering model, so the original statement was OK without the addition of GSM.

Aw man, I just checked Costco.com and their membership is $55! That blows because I don't have a Costco anywhere near me. Don't feel like shelling out that much for a one time purchase.

Argh. Why can't more things be free anymore?

:(

Edit: sad face worked!

Happy face

Do you know anyone with a Costco membership? Apparently if you can get someone to buy you an inexpensive gift card, flashing that is enough to get you into the store.

From what I can gather, he's an insider along the same lines of P3Droid, in that he's got an in with TeamBlackHat and from that he has access to people inside Verizon and the rest of the industry. I'd take what he says with the same grain of salt as you do P3, but given that P3 was right about the 8th rumor almost 2 weeks before anyone else....

It certainly wasn't two weeks. P3's credibility was hurt severely when he went on and on about Verizon cancelling the GN....the day before they officially announced that they would be carrying it.

He has connections no doubt, but he likes to think those people are closer to the decision makers then they really are.

Happy Thanksgiving, Nexus family! Just dropping in to say I hope everyone had a fantastic day with much to be thankful for. Today, I was thankful the Cowboys squeaked out a win since I traveled 1100 miles with the worst cold of my life to see the game. Here's hoping next week brings good news.

I hope you feel better soon!

Most, but not all of us think so. It's really more up to personal preference. The specs are relatively similar, but if you want to see a comparison, here is a comparison of them plus the RAZR.

Meh, at my Costco, if you walk thought the exit doors and just walk thought the registers, you can get in without a card. I think this is because so people can get to the food court that is between the registers and exit door, or to get to customer services. I do not know if you need a card to make a purchase at the wireless store thought.

Do youneed membership to buy phone online? Sometimes big box stores use third party companies to sell phones and service. When I bought my sgs2 thru Sams club didn't need membership
