....

Still no crying on the Moto Bionic support forums......

You won't see any for a while. Once some time passes, if their bootloader isn't unlocked or worked around, you'll hear it. Also if the battery is as crappy as I've heard elsewhere (4 hours with heavy use). But it will be a while.

It's not uncommon though. Once we get our glorious Prime, we'll be moaning about something or other within a few months, just like everyone else. I just hope it's not battery life, display, or lagginess.

Bionic seems a little underwhelming to me in battery, performance given that it took this long to come. I know benchmarks are just benchmarks. But quadrant scoring lower than 2500, Antutu numbers lower than G2x, SGS2 doesn't give me any motivation to want it for two years, let alone pentile qHD screen, locked boot-loader, webtop memory issues.

Even if the battery is a problem it's not a deal breaker for me.... Yes it would suck but the best part about Android phones compared to the iPhone is we have removable batteries. Opps my battery just died then whip out another and keep on trucking! lol Problem Solved!

Rumored name doesn't matter much to me until it becomes official by Samsung/Verizon. But I'm glad that it's 4.65" HD, sort of reconfirming what's revealed from samsung roadmap on GT-I9250 last month. It looks like WVGA leak was fake with Nexus S info.

I think samsung already developed most internal components of Prime. Galaxy Note announced in Berlin last week has monster spec just like Prime except that it has exynos processor and gingerbread. But Prime will have OMAP 4460, ICS because Google selected OMAP4 as reference chip for ICS. So I think that part is what's taking a little more development time than Celox, Note.

I've been reading the Bionic reviews, albeit hoping that I wouldn't be caught up in it and run out to a Verizon store to ruin my cell phone-life for the next 2 years.

I've found, however, that reading them has actually encouraged me to wait. From Engadget:

The Droid Bionic is exactly what we wanted the Droid X2 to be: that phone plus Gingerbread and LTE. So, happy day, right? Well, not quite. The X2 dropped over three months ago, and while that seems like just yesterday, given how quickly things are moving these days that's absolutely ages ago in the world of the smartphone. Since then we've been teased by the GSII and, with the Note, seen a glimpse of just how fast the next generation of phones is going to be.

The Bionic is a great choice for right now, the best combination of wireless and device speed that we've yet seen on Verizon. For that reason alone it's a smart purchase -- particularly if you've been hanging on to that OG Droid for months and months waiting for a phone like this to come along. But you should know that this isn't a world-conquering device, the kind of thing that will leave you walking tall and proud for months and months to come. If you're okay with that, then buy with confidence.

I like this guy, eh? He is all over Verizon having the Prime be it Droid or not.

Tell me what I want to hear baby! After the GSII not showing up I have this fear of it happening again.

Well of course. I guess I should have been more specific with left-to-right edges. Naturally there has to be room topside for all the goodies, and probably a curved bezel at the bottom. It'll STILL be about DX size, even with all that.

I have heard ZILCH about the Celox in the last weeks...anything new? Is it still rumored to be the SGS2+?

I purposefully un-subscribed from the Bionic forum post updates. Don't want to fall victim to have-it-now-regret-it-next-week!

Celox was just codename for LTE SGS2 unveiled in Berlin last week alongside Note. It's coming to Europe this fall and rumored to be coming to AT&T as well by December. But there is no sign of verizon getting this anytime soon. I doubt it because they are supposedly getting Prime as flagship samsung android.

I wonder if Sammy is bringing their bigger screen size inside a smaller but ever so thin chases. Like the Series 7 Chronos. More with less.

I think we can expect an image leak at the end of this month or in Oct for sure

This is kind of late, but I texted my sister yesterday about the possibility of the Prime being a WVGA screen (based on the rumor mill yesterday or the day before), and she hadn't gotten back to me. That led to some worrying on my part, but I just got a text back from her.

The texts were as follows:

Me (yesterday): Tell me, is Prime going to have crappy VGA screen and not HD? That's the rumor

Her (a few min ago): Stupid

I don't if she is referring to the rumor, or to me. I can't call her at work, but I'll see if she will clarify later.

Of course, the whole issue is probably a moot point now. I don't think anyone seriously thinks it will be WVGA.

lol anything besides cheap bendable plastic would be cool with me right about now.

Careful don't get your sister in trouble.

But since you're asking her. . . might as well ask here these questions

When will it come out, how much will it be, will it have bloatware, will it be the Prime, will it be vanilla, will it have the power we've heard it will, and finally WILL IT BLEND ? ? ?

lol joking

I thought I would never say this and Cereal Killer knows what I mean,

I Want Some Blurry Pictures.

I the Hot Rod dose come to Verizon we will only need to Root & Destroy all Bloat ans be good to go.

That's simply a term of endearment we sisters have for our little brothers....you are blessed to have her!:)

Yup we need some shots of this bad boy WITH some VERIZON branding. I expect we will see something inside of 2 weeks.

Metal chassis sounds spectacular. Give this piece of tech some weight. I want to feel like I'm carrying around a handgun.
