This is kind of late, but I texted my sister yesterday about the possibility of the Prime being a WVGA screen (based on the rumor mill yesterday or the day before), and she hadn't gotten back to me. That led to some worrying on my part, but I just got a text back from her.

The texts were as follows:

Me (yesterday): Tell me, is Prime going to have crappy VGA screen and not HD? That's the rumor

Her (a few min ago): Stupid

I don't if she is referring to the rumor, or to me. I can't call her at work, but I'll see if she will clarify later.

Of course, the whole issue is probably a moot point now. I don't think anyone seriously thinks it will be WVGA.

samsung releasing a wvga screen this late in the game with this handset? Not a chance......

I sure hope this is real. I could sport that thing for 2 years EASILY. But it is AWFULLY early for real pictures to show up, especially on a retail website.
 
The DX's metal chassis makes it feel as durable as a tank. Love that.
 
This is hot and I would definitely be all over this for the other next couple of years!

BUT I don't think its true just because I saw this phone on a blog site that looked like a wishlist for the phone.
 
I saw this somewhere before, on a different forum. I think it's been outed as fake. I can't remember where it was, though. :confused:

Does look sweet though. But why the two images?
 
Makes for some great slobbering, though... :p

Even if it's fake, it's a good one. It's a compilation of everything we know so far, and likely not far off the beaten path. I wouldn't be surprised if the final device looked exactly like this.

why don't you buy a BB gun? It's cheaper and it will actually make you feel like a man. Just don't pull it out, or else you'll get shot by a policeman.

I've put that to the test. My DX has been through hell and back and love the fact that when it falls hard enough for the battery cover to come off and battery goes flying across the floor I have no fear that all I will have to do is put the battery back in and it will turn back on
 
Welp, I went jogging with it, right? I dropped it. It broke the case and went rolling. Then, I accidently kicked it and sent it flying... on the concrete. The phone then stood up, looked at me right in the face and said, (in it's best Brooklyn accent), "IS THAT THE BEST YA GOT? HUH? WHAT R U LOOKIN' AT HUH?" I, of course, was silent. It then said, "That's what I thought, you freaking wimp.".. Yeah, it did. Amazing, huh? :p

Curved screen will make voice talking a little easier as it will conform to your face closer from ear to mouth. But on Nexus S I hardly noticed curvature on screen until I looked at it from side very carefully. So it could be just gimmicky feature or not.

But it's nice to see leaks, rumors on Prime nearly on daily basis. Looks like the days that Bionic fans can dismiss Prime as vaporware is counted.:)
 
Can you imagine how much buyer's remorse there's gonna be from the Bionic folks when this thing comes out? I'll be laughing my Prime-sportin' butt off, too :p
 
At the beginning of august I was looking at 3 phones bionic, prime and vigor. I even subscribed and favorited the forums. I now have zero interest in the other phones lol

I'd personally rather see no Verizon branding on it, since wouldn't Verizon branding mean it's not Nexus?

I would rather see an unbranded blurry image, with a screenshot of it connected to Verizon's network!

I'm not gonna clutter us here with these reports but I had to do the ........

.......first tech complaint @ Moto Bionic Support Board....... Drum Roll........

A colleague went to the VZW store this AM and got a Bionic. In the Notification bar, there is a persistent 'Connected to HDMI cable' message. The device clearly isn't so connected. Battery pull did nothing to alleviate symptom. IMHO, looks like a defective unit. Any ideas other than exchanging the device?

Yes unbranded with it connected to their LTE network would do just as well
