Do you really think they're gonna allow an unbranded phone onto their network? I'll believe it when I see it. They're going to want to put everything but the kitchen sink onto it. All we can hope is that Google convinces them to release this iPhone killer stock vanilla. My dream come true!

That unofficial nexus looks great
Only thing I want confirmed for now is the gorilla glass, I didn't like the look of the nexus s screen(kinda matte looking)
I'll be fine with Gorilla Glass, but I'm actually hoping for Dragontrail Glass.

If this was the Nexus Prime I would not be like that chrome at the bottom I'd rather the screen just come down further. I don't like how it looks for some reason. I don't mind if there is chrome around it but I don't like big chunks of it particularly if its cheap chrome and it just ends up chipping off.
Well, all that did happen and it's still going strong. With second init, I'm not in so much of a rush to upgrade, even.
Can you imagine how much buyer's remorse there's gonna be from the Bionic folks when this thing comes out? I'll be laughing my Prime-sportin' butt off, too
That's always the way, though. The Incredible folks were cryin' when the DX came out. I even made the jump over. Me? I want my upgrade to be mostrous. I upgraded from the Windows Mobile xv6900 to the Dinc (and to the DX a couple of months later). I want my next upgrade to be that big of a jump. The NP may be just the ticket for me.
When my wife asks how much I spent? I'll make something up.

Now androidandme is running with the “new nexus” image. . .although it is strange that the latest rumors mention an all-metal chassis, and this image is definitely of an all-metal chassis. But no, I still think it’s fake.

Greetings, children. I have some news. Take this with a grain of salt, but I received a text from my sister this morning.
All it said was:
As it stands now, after pumpkin day, before turkey day. Can still change but. . .
Meaning, probably won't change.
What do you guys think? Are you willing to wait that long? I am, although a bit begrudgingly. Sounds like mid to late November.

I have been through the training at Motorola's Bionic Boot Camp on "The End of Waiting" on how to wait, so yes, I can & will wait.

While that's not the time frame I had hoped for, that's DEFINITELY worth waiting for. Even though me OG Droid is making me curse at it more and more as time passes.

Are you kidding???? Do you have any idea how long we waited for the Incredible??? Oh my....rumors, name changes, sightings, pictures, specs, ...THE BOX, ......yes, we can wait....it's in our blood....perhaps it's a birth defect! ..."all good things come to those who wait".....
Yep I'm more than willing to wait but it does bring up a question for the more experienced Android users here. As you can see by my limited amount of postings I'm picking up up pieces here and there and enjoying the ride!
What I would like to know is based on the specs we have available and if the Vigor were released the first week of October as rumored is it still worth the wait for the Verizon Prime knowing they will more than likely load it up with bloat? What are the advantages of the Prime vs the Vigor?

Yes. She works for Verizon, so she is privy only to Verizon-related news. I do want to stress, though, that she is not a top-level executive or is involved in any closed-door meetings. She simply works in an area where some of that sensitive info makes the rounds.
Not much is known about either phone. But based on the basics, I would say that Prime having Ice Cream Sandwich and Vigor not having it. Also, HTC is notoriously bad with battery life, if that makes any difference to you.
But both are said to be LTE and HD 720p. If ICS or battery life is not that important to you, then I would say they would be close. Although I think the Prime will have a Texas Instruments OMAP 4460 processor, and TI processors have an excellent reputation. Not to mention that Samsung has gorgeous AMOLED screens.
Now that I think about it, they're not that close after all!

Is Vigor confirmed to have LTE? I haven't seen that yet. Also like HanSolo mentioned, HTC has poor track record on battery life, it's not coming with ICS, OMAP 4460 > dual snapdragon...

I went to see the Bionic at our local little VZ store, but they were selling the last one when I walked in. They only got in four and I think the sales folks were surprised at the fact that they sold out. Haha, they don't pay any attention to phone hype, do they?
I looked at the dummy and I really can't believe how big it is. It makes the OG look like a midget. The Prime better come with a metal chassis and Dragontrail glass or I will end up breaking it! I am NOT easy on my electronic devices.

Thanks for the info! That does make sense and I do understand what you mean about the battery life and HTC. That's part of my decision to go with the prime and skip the Vigor and HTC all together but.... I had an Incredible that I loved and it was the perfect phone so of course that is now my benchmark phone. So with that in mind I ran out and jumped on the Thunderbolt bandwagon thinking I was going to get a bigger,faster Incredible. Well after 4 defective Thunderbolts and me having to threaten Verizon I ended up with a Charge and have had no problems since. To say the the least my faith in HTC is gone after the Thunderbolt. Once again THANKS for the processor info on the two phones!
