That's a good idea, especially when blurry pics surface. But can you post a link to the source?

Highly doubtful. We might see phones over $299 if these stupid lawsuits keep up or when they start releasing quad-cores, but even then I can't see it happening.
 
Agree to an extent. I don't think the Prime will be over $299 subsidized; but if our wonderful government keeps devaluing the dollar and when quads come out, I see $329 and eventually - yes - $349 becoming the new norm.

Not sure how they differ in architecture exactly. probably not major one. I guess there is some efficiency improvement given OMAP 4460 is released a few quarters later than 4430. Also I heard that PowerVR GPU in 4460 is slightly improved SGX544 vs SGX540 in 4430.

It looks as if 4430 and 4460 both have SGX540 while 4470 has the newer SGX544. But 4460 is clocked higher in both CPU and GPU than 4430.

You're right that 4460 could have other improvements we haven't been told about, and it could conceivably be more power efficient if the production techniques have improved over time. I guess it's also possible that 4460 is simply a 4430 that's been speed binned and doesn't have any changes!

You're right. 4460 has the same SGX540 GPU but at higher clock. Thanks for correction. Hope there are some unknown features implemented in it making it more efficient.

Hmm...I can see the similarities. I'm hoping it looks more like the fake one from the other day to be honest. This one looks boring compared to that one anyway. Hopefully we'll get good pics soon!

So, uhhhh, what happens to the Prime after your untimely demise? Are you willing to consider adoption? I'll take real good care of it in your memory!
 
at this point pictures are just speculation/rumors/leaks, so I merged this. :)
 
Just as an aside, I stopped in the Verizon store about an hour ago and checked out the Bionic. My OG droid

Gosh, I hope Samsung does a better job than Motorola did with the Bionic. I'm all done lurking on their support site, I have seen enough. This is my last post about the Bionic status here.
They are complaining about data in 3G to name only one problem, and Verizon reps are telling them a November fix is scheduled. So it looks like they knew about it and released it anyway. I mean, on release day they have a scheduled fix? They really want people to put up with that until November. They are telling them to toggle airplane mode to fix it but its a temporary band aid.
Fishy, very fishy smelling stuff.
Lots of the HoFo boys and girls are really beating on the Display too.
Its like having a new car delivered with 2 flat tires.

A Cereal Killer once told me, Wait For the Prime Grasshopper, Wait for the Prime. Yes Master.
So here I am walking on the rice paper for the Prime. I'm not shaving my head though,

You know, after reading quite a few of the posts over there, and the lack of advertising as compared to the OG Droid, I firmly believe that the Bionic was never going to be a flagship phone from Verizon. It may have been in May, but not now.
 
Costco will not have to tie a docking station pork chop around the Prime's neck to get this dog to play with it, and be to be waiting at the door on release day. If they carry it.
