Some people have said they don't think Verizon cares about this phone (or at least not nearly as much as the Rezound, RAZR, or iPhone 4S). I don't like to think this is true, but to put it into different wording, what if this isn't exactly on the top of their priority list? What I mean is, it's not that they don't want it or care about it, but they don't think the appeal will be as large as other phones? If they were really trying to push this phone they would entice people into buying it and push it out ASAP instead of telling customers "it is scheduled to be announced soon".

Scott, it is all about marketing. You can sell anything with excellent marketing. Why do german sports cars sell so well? They show sex appeal. They show the guy in the droptop with dozens of women flocking to him. So then guys think, hmm if I buy that car, maybe I'll get all the girls too. It's a bad analogy, but the truth is, the majority of people are nothing but drones. As long as it looks good, and somebody with great orator skills persuades them to buy it, they will buy it. This phone can be as large or as small as Verizon chooses it to be.

Not much. It's basically a firewall app that controls what apps can have access to the root directory. You can deny certain apps if necessary/desired. I've never blacklisted an app...

I will be open here. I work for target mobile, as in I sell phones. I was using my off time and my personal, not professional, opinion to rant on the 'verizon wireless' facebook page and they complained and it went down to my DM to tell me to stop.

Overall I like verizon and sell a lot of their phones, their coverage is great, but attacking me personally when I vent like everyone else is over their facebook page, to know they are looking over everyones pages that complain and finding out who they can single out. Yeah thats wrong. Just to let you know verizon since your reading this too, I'm still going to buy this phone and your still going to get a customer out of me, simply because I cant afford the GSM model and your LTE model is subsidized.

So no if 'the rules' apply to me off the clock they should also apply to Verizon's CSRs.

Well then I guess what I was asking is, exactly how large or small is Verizon choosing this to be? From what we've seen thus far they either want it to be a huge release, thus the delays due to "bug fixes" which would make it a near-perfect phone, or they don't want to make a big deal out of it, thus the lack of information or hype for the common consumer...

That's from the screen being "Amoled", not pentile.


Although the average user won't notice the defects, I can't stand Amoled. It only looks good at MAX brightness, something most of us don't need.

So we went 28000 posts in 15 days... we have 22k posts to hit 100000 posts in this thread. Lets say that this week Verizon announces tomorrow a release date of the 15th and Pre-order for 13th. If this thread closes at 11:59pm 12/16 that gives us 5 full posting days of about 4300 per day and 179 per hour.

Do you think we got what it takes????? I certainly think we can do it. Especialy if this is the big week :-)

Logic. We've been through this over and over. Verizon isn't saying a word about this phone. If the 15th were the day, they'd come out and announce that the 15th is the day. But for whatever reason (most likely corporate jostling... trying to boost RAZR sales) they will not do so.

I think what's happening is that they don't want to have to step back on what they've already announced, so they're not saying a peep until they are more than 100% certain the phone is ready for launch. The 12/9 ordeal was their target but something popped up which prevented them from reaching that target. If they are set in stone about the 15th they should say so this Monday, otherwise they will only make a confirmation once they are certainly ready to sell.
