Forgot to tell 3vil and DrexelDragon I thought of them this morning. There was a van in the school drop off line that had the logo that 3vil uses as avatar and a Drexel sticker as well.

That is all. (waiting for car to warm up so I can go home)

It looks like Panasonic is slowing but surely getting out of the Plasma business. First it was Pioneer killing off the Kuro brand and now Panasonic slowing killing off the VIERA brand. Soon there will be no good TVs available. Get em while you can. :(

That's pretty bad. I still have a Pioneer Kuro 50" and it's amazing. The deepest blacks and best colors. I bought a 50" samsung plasma a couple years later for my bedroom and it doesn't even compare. Panasonic was second to Pioneer and now they'll both be gone :(
 
To share my story, last night I called the Verizon Corporate store on L Street in downtown DC.

The conversation:

Me: Hey, wanted to schedule an appointment for Thursday morning.
CSR: Okay, what are you interested in?
Me: I want to pick up the Galaxy Nexus.
CSR: Okay, what's your name and phone number?
Me: It's _____ and _____.
CSR: Great! When you come in you have an appointment with CSR X.
Me: Thanks!

Sure, they didn't say it would be out, but considering a corporate store scheduled an appointment when I specifically said I wanted to the get the Galaxy Nexus, well, I consider that a good sign that they had gotten word of 12/15 release.

I'm going to try calling again tonight to double-check my appointment and see if they have anything to say officially.
 
just called my costco to ask about the bundle they would be offering, she stated it'll be the standard bundle they give, but she would find out for sure on Friday (note she said friday would be their release date) if there would be an additional bundle like the Bionic and Razr.

I was so YOUNG and NAIVE!!! Not only did we DESTROY the Inc. thread, but we are STILL waiting on our phones!!

I just stopped by at my local corporate Verizon stir to verify that the $100 4G promo and been noted on my account since I didn't want any issues coming up when I went to get my phone. Turns out to be a good thing since despite the CSR saying they saw it on my account and I wouldn't have any problems using it, it didn't show up at the store. So, after 20 minutes sitting on the phone with a helpful CSR the discount is back on my account, it is good till 12/31 and valid only at corporate stores, not the premium retailers. Also found out that it is not valid to Verizon employees or valid to be transferred to a different line(neither situation applies to me).
Went back in the store and the discount now shows up.
The downside is that they have not received any emails saying that Thursday is the day, it still could be but if so they don't know it yet.
 
I have a friend that works at a corp store and FWIW I've been told the 20th. I also had my account reps in house today for an employee event and two reps from a local corp store and they all said they knew nothing. Just reporting...don't shoot the messenger. Just letting everyone know it's better to be cautiously optimistic...not blindly optimistic.

Haha, don't worry I won't pull the plug or anything. Especially if I trust the doctors more than Verizon. ;)
