Yeah, I know what you mean. But I think the majority of people have had an experience at one time or another with a jealous GF. Hell, I've even played the role of a jealous boyfriend in a few of my not-so-memorable relationships. Lol. Whatever your stance on whatever it means, it still happens more than it should. And I'd rather know that if for ANY reason she wants in my phone, she's gonna either have to ask me or guess a complicated unlock pattern. Not just go to my facebook and hold the phone up...lol. But thanks for the debate. I always like hearing all sides to an issue and I definitely feel like that was accomplished.

Welcome Dajagwar...priorities are priorities and you've no doubt made the best one...maybe it was fate the GNex hasn't been released yet...all I can say is that those of us, myself included, whose biggest problem in life at the current moment is the launch of the GNex are VERY Lucky!!!

CONFIRMED: I just heard from the friend of a neighbor of a CSR's cousin that Verizon is pulling the Nexus because of the mushy power button.

They're gonna go ahead and release the GSII now instead. It'll be about 4 months.
 
So if we don't get an announcement by ~3 PM CST then we can assume Thursday is not the day, correct??

Just trying to figure out when I can expect this anxiety to subside, one way or another. haha

Alright Guys! I just finished unlocking my bootloader and rootiny LTE Gnex. Im going to warn you all right now. DO NOT use superboot to root your Gnex when you get it, root it manually until a better solution comes out. I got a boot loop from it and after searching on the internet I found that others had this issue on production devices. I ended up wiping the cache and formatting which saved my butt. I was pretty pissed for a second thinking i just ruined my baby before the release date.

I had no problem activating it with my home made micro sim and I have not received any updates in the 7 hours its been on. Anyway its up and running now and I LOVE IT! You guys will not be disappointed! :D

Good to know.... i havent manually rooted a phone since the OG... looking forward to the old adb commands :-)
 
Anyone know if the user equipment guide has been updated to show a release date of 12/15? It was updated on this day a week ago when the plan was for a 12/9 release.

A lot of ppl seem to think an announcement won't be made until the morning of the 15th. Hang in there!

thanks for keeping it civil. i am glad that the majority of members here can convey their side of an argument without being mean-spirited or personal. i am always open to discussion, and you made some good points as well. FWIW, my view is very subjective because i don't even use a pattern lock right now, just the plain swipe to unlock. facial recognition is actually a step UP in regards to security for me.

I have a weird feeling that it's not going to leak like that this time. I really believe this will be as silent of an initial launch as we've seen from VZ.

Dont expect a PR... as long as news doesnt break here tomorrow night plan to buy it thursday morning. Be there early so in case it is (insert D word here) you can get it before the rep sees the email lol

Yup. I do believe the word BETA would strictly apply in this case. Google has said it is a work in progress. I never lock my phone because it is never out of my possession. Ever.
