Good morning!!! So glad to wake up and not have any "pushed back" rumors haunting the thread :D

Today feels like a good day and I hope tomorrow will be even better!

I've been watching this thread and Verizon's PR page like a hawk while trying to work. Unfortunately I have to head off to a meeting soon. My productivity at work is going to be near zero today. :(

Hopefully I read some good news when I return!
 
Assuming this comes out tomorrow, do the stores typically open early on release day of a big phone (even though they haven't really advertised it, I know the stores know the demand for the phone as they've answered the same questions a thousand times the past couple weeks)? The ones by me open at 9am normally, I was hoping maybe they'd open at 8am.

Also, is there a good holster out for this thing yet? I keep my OG on my belt, and this being bigger, is definitely going on the belt as well.

I bought one off ebay last week, So it should be in the mail today or tomorrow, either way, PM me if you want pics and results of how it fits. Hopefully it fits perfectly. I like the vertical ones.
 
I use my OG Droid as my alarm clock, using it on it's dock. It decided to freeze at 2:53AM, so it never reached 5:45 when my alarm would wake me up. My carpool in the morning showed up at my house at 7 AM thinking I had died since I wasn't picking up my phone either (still frozen!). They proceeded to ring the doorbell a billion times, with me looking at my clock to see it's 2:53AM and I thought that my house was on fire or something (why else would someone be ringing my doorbell at 3AM on a Wed morning?!)

Moral of the story - I need this Galaxy Nexus NOW! Must destroy OG Droid immediately!

Since VZW releases the press release to the press prior to putting it up on the PR page, you won't get an exclusive that way. BGR is probably the best site to watch for that info, they scooped the press release by about 10 minutes for the original announcment.

I've noticed some do some don't. When I talked to my rep yesterday I could hear him ask his buddy "hey are we gonna open early on thursday?" then he came back saying 9 am.

None around me will be opening early :( but I don't care as long as I get my phone :D

I believe Verizon will have one available tomorrow in stores, you should be able to check it out prior to buying it that way.

Ditto. I have a meeting at 9:30 and could schedule a site visit before, do that at 7:30ish, then to VZW, then to my meeting. Won't be able to do that though if they don't open until 9.

The big question is whether we'll see anyone born on launch day being named Nexus or Galaxy. I sure hope no one thinks Verizon would be a cute name. The kid would be quiet and despised for life!

they usually just have universal holsters, they do have one that fits but it fits too weirdly since the phone is thin and has that curve. I bought it but then returned it
