Will I be able to order this phone online tomorrow? Unfortunately, I had planned to originally go to the store first thing in the morning since I learned this phone was going to be released back in November but since then, my father had a heart attack and other things have also surfaced that will prevent me from getting to the store tomorrow. I would really like to ensure I get this device, I don't care if I have to wait for it to be shipped. I just don't want to wait for it to come back in stock if it sells out extremely fast.

If I dont respond the moment he gets here, I haven't run away, its just that my non-virtual doppleganger will be teaching violin lessons so that may hold up the "I Do" a bit. Rest asurred, its happening though:D

Well, Canton and Novi played dumb. Northville played dumb as well, but salesman at Northville told me last night they do have them. IDK which to believe.

Thanks for this link. I found it odd that the simulator suggest sthat people navigate to the settings widget by swiping to the next horizontal screen and tapping the icon. Isn't there a dedicated settings selection in the ever-present pull down menu at the top of the display? Seems that would be easier...

So another interesting thing learned from the Simulator. The Mobile Hotspot for the GNex uses the built in ICS settings for turning it on and off. I was kind of thinking we would have to download the VZW Mobile Hotspot app from the market.
 
Just received a call from the Verizon store in Orlando on orange Blossom trail saying they will be selling thexus tomorrow. Rep's name is Cynthia.
 
i laugh that every time the forum approaches another thousand milestone, everyone (myself included) posts the most random comments in hopes of being that milestone... haha, I half expected to see someone just write "i like turtles!!!" in hopes of being 85,000

But if the (PR announcement) Ceremony is made during daylight hours does OTD still get to be a witness?

Nice that the simulator is up and running, now just waiting for that (inevitable PR) announcement, right?
 
From the FWIW Department: I called the Clearwater, FL corporate store on Gulf-to-Bay and asked the magic question. It is clear these reps are following the company line with their responses. I think they've been warned that Big Brother is watching the tech blogs and forums and it would be in their best interest to not have their store location pointed out as a source for early confirmation. Anyhow, he was careful in the way he answered me by saying (and I paraphrase) "as of right now we don't know when it will launch but call back tonight or early tomorrow morning to get more information". There may be some sort of mechanism in place later today/tonight that pulls the gag order.

For my Pinellas County peeps, he did tell me a little about stock. He said they "would have enough" but that they don't have a huge supply. He reassured me that I wouldn't need to set an appointment to guarantee I get a GNex. They will not be opening early tomorrow. He was a pleasant guy and didn't outright lie to me. I could tell he was following a script. I plan on being there at 8:30am, a half hour before the store opens.

Darn, you ninja'd me... I had seen this and was making a slightly altered version that replaced a few of the lines and was a little more legible. I was still gonna give credit to the original poster, though. Oh well, thought it was funny! Maybe I'll have to figure out a different song/poem/movie quote to alter, lol...
 
Called 2 stores in the Northern VA area. The bigger store told me they did not have stock and no idea when it was launching. The second put me on hold for a min, then told me to check back in a few days and that they definitely will not have it tomorrow. This is laughable. If VZW service wasn't so good here I would leave in a minute.
