people, why is everyone calling their local stores? its obvious they cant/wont tell you anything, and if they do, people are still finding a way to doubt/discredit it anyway, so why bother? just follow here and twitter and you will know when its good to go

I was wondering the same thing. Also is there any difference in buying one at a Premium retailer than a Corp. store. If someone does purchase 1 from a Premium retailer and happens to get a lemon, do you have to specifically deal with the retailer?:confused:

Answers are greatly appreciated.

I for one will be going to the Premium retailer that just called and told me to show up tomorrow at 9 for my new phone!

I'm in NoVA as well and have heard similar stories, I'm gonna try to call a few more stores tonight, I'll let you know if I find out anything useful. Also please let me know if you find out anything as well ;)

So I am in a dilemma. My original droid is broke. I have no phone, so I'm praying on the Nexus tomorrow.

If I would happen to pick up the white razr, can't I return it within 14 days if "I don't like it"? aka to get a Nexus? Has anyone done this? Also would I be charged extra at all for doing this? Thanks
 
Just called a corp VZW store in MoCo Maryland (outside DC)

Me: I'm interested in getting a GNex.
Rep: We don't have any info on a release date for that
Me: Do you have any in stock, so I can get one if it is released?
Rep: I don't know if we have any in stock.

WTF already.

I just de-activated my rent-a-RAZR and am going to return it in a few. Local Costco has my name on their list for tomorrow morning. If it doesn't happen, I have re-activated my old Droid X for now to hold me over until it does.
 
Just called the Springfield, MO corporate stores. One said he had no info and rumors are rumors. The other store said she had heard tomorrow was the day but they hadn't heard anything official and there wasn't anything in the equipment guide yet. Oh well. She took my name and number and said she would call as soon as she knew something more. I'll you guys know if she calls.
 
Anyone else see the date in the sim?

I know, I know, lots of places are getting LTE tomorrow, not just us. I just thought that was funny. She actually was very nice, and admitted they had a demo phone, but said they weren't allowed to break it out til release day. (wouldn't comment if it was Thursday or not, just said she hoped it was sooner than later)

ETA: Has anyone from New England gotten any confirmation that their store of choice will be selling tomorrow?

I hope your right :) However its fairly convincing when the regional manager tells you that no store in your region has the phone and no store in your region is scheduled to get the phone tomorrow.

You would think if they had a gag order you wouldn't tell a very specific lie like that. Especially from someone I've dealt with for years.

Edit: That information was also volunteered, not asked for. I didn't even mention stock.
 
I just called my corporate store in NW Indiana, the guy I spoke to said, "We're expecting Thursday if it doesn't get pushed back."
