#2. Im going to make you all feel very smart right now by throwing myself under the bus for a moment.

When I was working on said avatar, I had to use a different computer than I normally do, so I just hopped on the sight, signed in, and did a quick search for "galaxy nexus" to find the thread. As I'm reading the thread I'm slowly noticing that every mention of "Galaxy" or "nexus" was in bold, bright red letters. I could not figure out for the life of me why EVERYONE on this thread was repeatedly posting the name of the phone in red. :confused:

It took me a few pages to figure this out. :o:o:o:o:o:o:rolleyes:

Simulator is a good sign that they are at least uploading and updating content on the site. Seemingly preparing it for something. I'm definitely going to be on the look out for a midnight launch, even if there's no PR today. They might handle it like they did the Droid 3.
 
If they tell me tomorrow when I get there they have no Nexus, but offer me a shiny splendiforous white Razr, I am going to shove each razr down their throat, take the managers keys, grab their Nexus inventory and give them away for free on the corner after I get mine.
 
I have a friend who works at an authorized retailer who just texted me and said "It's official, Nexus tomorrow. They are overnighting them to us. What time do you want to get it?"

I'll (hopefully) have mine at around 2:15pm tomorrow. :)

After a discussion with my business rep, a personal friend, and the Verizon store. I feel almost certain that there is no chance it launches tomorrow. Business rep told me that there was an absolute 0% chance this phone launches tomorrow and anyone taking names, numbers or anything else is simply "Blowing smoke ... [you know where]" She hasn't really let me down before, she even managed to get me an incredible a few days ahead of time. I dare you to prove her wrong Verizon =P
 
I cannot wait to toucvh it! It's really excitving looking at the simulavtor!

Typo on the demo or IRL? That would be epic.

My friend who owns a 4th party corporate store told me that 4.02 update on activation is internally called "typo and radio update". Apparently there were lots.

We have a special uv proof walkway just so she can be there if the sun is out.
 
My corporate store just told me that it was supposed to come out last week, blah blah, but that she thinks they were waiting because 4G comes to Manchester, NH this week :):p:D

Yeah I bet they were just waiting til southern NH got some 4G!

I know, I know, lots of places are getting LTE tomorrow, not just us. I just thought that was funny. She actually was very nice, and admitted they had a demo phone, but said they weren't allowed to break it out til release day. (wouldn't comment if it was Thursday or not, just said she hoped it was sooner than later)

ETA: Has anyone from New England gotten any confirmation that their store of choice will be selling tomorrow?

I'm starting to get my hopes up just a bit. Why you do this to me people!?!?!?!? I'm only going to be super sad tomorrow when nothing happens. :(
 
I think I just saw an unmarked Verizon van with a large rotating antenna on top, just like in the German movies, trying to find Verizon stores that are telling customers anything about the phone.

Sounds to me like you have some gloriously out of the loop contacts.
 
Thankfully we're a close-knit civil lot who won't rub their phones into other people's faces the second they get one. Although you might get the occasional ecstatic owner dancing around... :)

Eh, you have to take this with a grain of salt. With a gag order, friendships don't matter. If she's contractually obligated to tell you that, then I highly doubt she'd risk losing her job. Especially when she knows you'd probably understand why she had to tell that in the first place.
