I just want to take a second and thank everyone. For me.. it wasn't just the top notch posters. It was all the people who contributed. I know forums usually give props to the longest tenured guy, but I can honestly say this was an all-around great board. From mods, to top posters, to guys like me who just signed up after lurking for years.

Unfortunately, I won't be sticking around, but I will catch you guys when the next big phone comes out!

glad i'm off tomorrow. I'm getting my device. Not letting the store associate touch it. I'll unbox it myself. Then coming straight home to Root it and unlock the bootloader first :p

Are any of you surprised that we did NOT receive an email from the page we signed up for? Or maybe they plan to blast that out at 1am EST when the sales go live online?
 
I just called my store to verify the phone, hours, and that the Midwest $100 promo was on my account. It wasn't! So I called back to 611 and talked to another person. He said that I am eligible and he put another note on my account. I called the store back to check and make SURE they see the note now, and and they do! They will give me the promo discount. I am so glad I called! I am teaching all day tomorrow, but my husband's schedule is flexible, so he is going to go get my Nexus. He would have not been happy if he had to deal with not being able to find the discount!
If you have called for the discount, I would suggest calling the store directly to see if the discount is noted. It might save you a lot of hassle in the morning!
 
Before this thread closes, I just want to say thank you so much to the GREAT mod's that took care of us all since the start! I've never been such a devoted part of an online thread like this before and It's been an awesome ride and I love you all! Sad to say goodbye here, but the next time we say hello in a new thread it will be from our beautiful Nexus'! :)
 
Holy Crap. I quit F5-ing for two hours and all hell breaks loose.

I'm headed to Verizon to be at the store 30 mins early tomorrow.

So, it's all official per Facebook, Twitter, etc...but I still haven't received any emails from the official VZW "sign up for news on the GNex"

just went to a corp store, and guy denied it coming out tomorrow... even after I showed him the verizon wireless and verizon news tweet... lame...

However, another store just confirmed over the phone and said they would have plenty for me... that store will get my commission...

Those notices are notoriously (and comically) late arriving. I'm probably going to get Ninja'd.
 
Just finished going back and forth in email with a CSR from *611 who's been helping me all week.

He's contacting me tomorrow at 8am to set up ordering a device and because I'll still be 5 days ahead of my upgrade date, he's overriding that and giving me a huge discount on my next two months bills where I will be paying only a couple of dollars.

It sucks that I won't be joining others at the stores when they open at 8am here in Pennsylvania and that I won't have the phone in my hands tomorrow but for basically 2 free months of service, I can wait one more day. Now will go and use my Living Social voucher for an extended battery, case and screen protector

Anyone see that the press release (as shown by Engadget) says it's available now... today is the 14th... just saying... so... can I get one right now? I'm not above driving to my Vzw store.
