There was a car dock offered, but it didn't have the built in power/audio just fyi.

Howdy to those of you lurking that were at the Henrietta store on Jefferson!
 
What a crazy ride! As some of you remember I wanted my 1k post to be my "I have my new GNex" post. Way back when I hit the 13k post I didn't realize we were still two months away and missed being able to post and participate in the phone for Steven. At least I was more productive at work than most of you...BB and Han, i'm talking to you!

I want to say thank you to all of the admins, mods, guides, for an awesome thread. Han, thank you to Hannette for her info. Honestly, her info was probably the best info out there and was really what I went by regardless of any other info from other sources. Thank you to everyone that contributed to this epic thread. The clapping/dancing gifs were awesome.

I can also say I met Red66Charger this morning at the Verizon store. See cheesy pic!

My plan has a corp discount, got the phone for $249 and used the living social coupon to get the extended battery, car dock, and the extra battery/charger/stand thing. They didn't have the extended battery in stock so they are shipping everything to me.

If you are in the clearwater area, go see Aaron Crampton at the Gulf to Bay store, absolutely awesome guy.

I hope to see all of you around the Nexus threads talking about wallpapers, rooting/romming, apps, etc.

Anyone in the NJ area get the 3g->4g promotion to work? I can't even get any CSR's to put a note on my account. I've called 3 times. The 2nd time (6am this morning) the rep said she would call my local stores and get back to me letting me know if they would use it. Haven't heard back yet.

Yeah, No LTE reception at my desk. Was marginal with the Tbolt, constantly cycling. A bit of a disappointment, but I had switched to 3G only on my Tbolt anyways. Hopefully they can improve the reception a little as we go.
 
Sigh of relief for you Rent-a-phoners...

I got my Rent-a-Rezound on 11/16, and was getting QUITE nervous about being able to return it, especially since there is basically no dev support for the Rez (GNex taking the spotlight!)

So I talked to customer care this morning via tele, and I stated that I just wanted to exchange my Rez for GNex. She said, "I'm sorry, that phone is not out yet."

I promptly directed her to VZW website and showed her, Smartphones, opt 6. She says wow, okay, I'll see what I can do.... put me on hold... (this is where I started sweating) Okay sir, I will be able to get this phone for you, but you will have to pay full retail. (Blood begins to boil) and I say, "But, I was told, by numerous CSR's online, and have saved EVERY chat transcript, that I can exchange my phone up until January 15." She says hold on... I have to check... again, I have no fingernails at this point.... comes back on she says, "You just barely made it! I had no idea this phone even came out today, and had no idea that this holiday return policy existed. I learned so much today. Thank you!"

So, AF, got another CSR edumacated!

(PS The BUMMER of the story is, she said she forgot to hit Overnight shipping, and it will be here monday :(((((((((()

If the manager has a good friend who wants one I think I might be screwed and will need to head over to the atrocious vzw corp store. I'm just typing here cause I don't know what else to do. The CSR let me enter my Gmail info, so I unchecked those boxes. Only contacts came in from Gmail. No apps downloaded.
 
The phone is lighter and slightly narrower than my Thunderbolt which actually makes it easier to hold. It does not feel cheap and although the door is rather thin and flimsy it seats well into the phone. The texture of the cover is nice too. The screen is awesome. It's clearly seen during the boot animation.

Other than that, I had to hurry to work so I haven't had a chance to mess with it at all. I'm actually hiding it under some papers at my desk so nobody knows I came in late to get a phone!

I'll be messing with it tonight while watching the NFL game!

I had a Rent-a-Rezound and I can say, Gnex is head and shoulders better! Plus stock ROM = WIN

Have you noticed by chance when typing a sms you hit the home button below on accident when you try to hit the "space" key?

Voice to text is so good and ridiculous fast I don't know how much typing I'll continue to do :)

I think they figured that everyone that really wanted one knew all about it already :-)

Besides, didn't someone here say that Google and Samsung would be doing the advertising for this?
