No. They're speaking of the double data promo. Grandfathered unlimited is different. You should be good.

December 8th has been officially set as launch date (internally for now) and there are no further plans for any delays. As much as I'd like to believe this post, it's hard to do so. However thank you for taking the time to update us and hopefully you are 100% correct.

Yes I would guess the D4 will appeal to business types, or at least people who really like a keyboard, both types mostly use the phone for email, browsing and texts. I think it will be a very nice phone for those people.

So basically I should be able to just return it before the 8th and get my money back (minus the restocking fee) and then I can just preorder online if that's the case.

From my understanding you can even change to a dumb phone and keep your data plan. I switched from a bionic to a 2 year old LG Dare and kept my data plan knowing that the nexus was coming soon (before I rented a Rezoun to lock in double data).

My friend and I have a kind of understanding with insider Verizon info. We will discuss the phones they have and even upcoming phones, but he typically does not give me too much info because he knows what I do here and he really isn't a "phone guy" or "gadget guy" (not to mention that he is always afraid of losing his job). To him it is just a job and we are all crazy. :rolleyes:

In short, I don't ask for info and I'm thankful for what he is willing to give me. :cool:

I was told you should NOT switch to a non-smartphone. Doing so will trigger the limited data plan once you switch back to a smartphone...That is what the person told me from the corporate store near me yesterday when I asked about activating a feature phone until the nexus arrives (since my dinc is dead). He said it had to be a smart phone (luckily, my mom has an old blackberry I can use). I'm afraid you might have screwed yourself out of unlimited data :(
 
Went into Best Buy today and asked to speak to the manager. I said, "Do you have the Galaxy Nexus in?," just to see what he would say. He said, "Yup. We sure do. Follow me." I ALMOST PASSED OUT WITH EXCITEMENT...until he took me to the Galaxy TAB. :P Hilarious little mix up!

Essentially, yes. I have never had to do this, so I cannot speak from personal experience. Best to ask VZW or someone here with better knowledge of the details on the subject

Will be interesting to say the least. Apparently they have found parts of it in every version of iOS since around 3.1ish. I wonder if Apple is collecting the data on it's own.

I have, but I've also been thanking them:) I like to reel them in for you guys to rip apart, so I just thank everybody. Can't take anything that's just text as very solid information, but it's worth looking at.


I really like the way Darejer questioned him/her, a very good way to build credibility.
