Yup. Backup Assistant would work, I think.
Does the fruit have that? I just thought of that. I don't know if they do

iPhone doesn't come with it installed and I dont know if there is an app. I don't even know if apps have the api to add or remove contacts in iOS

So its 12/9 per what I read on rootzwiki last night. But now VZW announcement yet right?

Anyone here about an online order? I wont be able to get to a store on Friday, so hoping for online and shipment on Friday.

Anyone hook a brother up?

OT: DOGS
Haha 4 is nothing, me and my GF have a 20+ run kennel at home, we always have at least 30 dogs on Site at any given time.
We board dogs for local rescues, it's alot of work.

OY! I only foster one at a time (in addition to my own 2), and that's plenty for me. They are almost always some sort of "special needs" though.

OT: Dexter
OT: more Dexter
my bet is that its a dream that Deb is having because Dexter is her "safe place." i could be totally wrong. but thats my guess.

That's actually a pretty good bet, I think.

I mentioned Quinn saves him earlier here's a pic of it

But do you know that he REALLY saves him? What if they BOTH end up dead?

Alright, regarding NFC payments and Google Wallet vs. Isis. At first I was thinking this was no big deal. Isis will probably work just fine. But with all the talk I got to thinking. What right do ANY of the carriers have to determine what app I use to make NFC payments. They are not a banking company. Wireless tether, data caps or throttling, I may not like it, but I can buy that. It's their infrastructure that they paid for, if something has an ability to degrade their service, they reserve the right to deal with it. NFC payments, no way, its none of their business. Verizon, You have your hand in my wallet for my monthly bill, because I allow you to. Get it the Hell out for anything else.

Rant over.

Sort of OT:
What's the best way to transfer contacts from Android to a fruit phone? Not for me, my daughter wants one when I get my Nex. I'm thinking Backup Assistant, or maybe letting the Verizon guy do it, but maybe there's a better way. Thanks.

OT Apple/Mac contacts x-fer:

Go into contacts on Android, Export all to vcf file (Vcard file) on SD card.

If on Mac, move VCF file to convenient location, Address Book, File -> Import, then sync iPhone.

Not 100% sure on Windows, but I think a similar option exists to import Vcard file thru iTunes or directly on the iPhone.

For going the other way, i.e., you have an iPhone and you're coming to a Nexus/Android:

On a Mac, you can go to Address Book, select All Contacts, then File -> Export to Vcard. That makes a VCF file that you can then import by going into Gmail on the web, Contacts (link on left side) then Other Actions drop down tool (sort of upper middle).

Then let Google sync contacts with Android phone automagically.

See notes above for iPhone with Windows.

Sorry the steps aren't 100% for the Windows side, hope this helps in any case.

Agreed completely. I'm holding out hope that the WSJ article is correct and that Verizon will allow users to download Wallet from the Market, it just won't be pre-installed.
