Since you are new to this, the reason the thread is virtually useless now is because people don't understand that 500 posts about the same shipping issues, when there is a thread devoted to the topic, means that general Incredible posts get pushed off the page and people like me who jump on a few times a day - have to spend an hour paging through bs whiny posts. Yes, it's a hassle and an unnecessary waste of my time, which I take personally since I've invested a month of worthwhile contributions to this thread. Just one example - I posted an article early this morning about Wireless N not being on the phone - a great and meaningful topic for this thread...but no one will see it because there are now 3 pages of silly (mostly useless) shipping posts...

Oh well, good luck to everyone. As vzw has said since day one, if you order by 4pm on the 28th, you'll get your phones on the 29th. The first bitchy post should have been posted on the evening of April 29 (or maybe on the 28th if you haven't received tracking info by then).

Last request, please stay on this thread and don't start going to other threads here - they are still ok, not a lot of whining and helpful people. I'm off to join kappy, mm, steven and others!

Mine on the same truck. Says 28th for delivery, but I'm in LA. It's an hour away. Pray for today, but know it will be tomorrow.

Feels pretty good. I will be able to tell more when it has weight in it. Not a lot of grip to it would be my only gripe. It is very slick feeling. Hope I don't drop my phone on accident.

Remember everyone, the launch date is the 29th.

Verizon's goal would be for no one in the public to have this phone before then.

If anyone receives it before then, it is just a bonus, and we should be happy as a clam.

I was originally looking at driving a half hour each way; potentially standing in line (good chance of rain that morning, BTW); dealing with a store rep trying to sell me a bunch of extra stuff, and then the drive home - not to mention starting my work day an hour or two later, and having to play catch-up all day.

Now I'm going to have it a day early with no drive, no hassle; you think I care they sent it two-day standard instead of one-day?!?

Heck no!!! - I could kiss them for giving me a one-day free bonus!!! :):):)

Well... the cute ones, anyway.... :p

Sorry, but posts from a bunch of people about what truck their INC is on and what city the FedEx truck is in currently and what time they ordered and what their confirmation number is and the specifics of their conversation with their VZW CSR telling them blah blah nothing different blah blah are indeed vinegar. This was supposed to be (and has primarily been) a place to share information about the phone, not about your phone. Now it is nothing more than a diluted status-update thread with virtually no information of any value. And what little information of value there is is buried under a mountain of crap, or should I say it's drowning in a pool of vinegar.

If you truly wanted to take the "honey" approach, you would start a separate thread for people who want to obsess over and share information about the status of their shipments. Basically saying "I don't give a damn what the purpose of this thread is, I'm going to use it how I want" is immature and selfish and the kind of thing I learned was inappropriate when I was 2. BTW, have you noticed that the primary posters - Steven 58, NKT, etc. - are gone? Gee, can you guess why? It's because people like you turned this thread into a worthless steaming pile of dung where the only information I can now get is how long it takes a phone to get from Ontario to Carlsbad.

Dude or Dudette get over yourself. There was more useless BS then than now, at least it's related to the phone. I personally have posted in the shipping forum for this but people miss seeing that and post here.

I think that hard ship date they have, and the threat of fines from VZW, will keep them at bay until the 29th.

Mine is Estimated to be delivered on the 28th also, but I'm wondering if it will come sooner. I live 15 miles away from the sorting facility.

I just found out why the status of my order says "Your order has been processed. Please check back tomorrow." I just called the internet sales customer service number and the rep I spoke with told me they were out of stock. She said they got the Incredibles earlier than expected, so they started filling orders and ran out. She said they "should" receive another batch in time to fulfill the 29th deadline for pre-orders. Lucky me.
 
Fed ex is famous for sitting on packages but you never know. I know I'm not getting mine early. I doubt it will get past Oregon today.
