Is it the usual live wallpapers?

Can you select exact text easily in the browser like you can in text or emails? (where you get that red bullet circle thingy)
 
battery day 3.....wifi has made a huge difference.

phone off charger at 9:00 am and have made 30 min in calls, surfed via wifi about 1.5 hours and bluetooth on whole time....battery still at 80%

that is 5 hours with the display being on for about 2 hours and still 80%. to those in better service areas your 3g wont drain the battery as much as mine so your results will be even better when not on wifi. I cant say enough about the STOCK battery

There is the usual live wallpaper plus the one "droid" live wallpaper. It is easy to select text in email, text and browser by just holding down on the text for a second and them side scrolling to the letter you want. I'm still unable to download anything from the market.
 
Curious, on my droid I usually have problems with the headphone jack. I get static and if i move the wire too much it'll turn on/off the music playing or start up some shuffle mode, and lately its getting worst. I checked with other headsets it jus seems the input port isn't stable and its very annoying because i carry my phone in my pocket while listening to music and its always causing constant static and shut offs/ons/shuffles.

Hows your experience with the headphone jack? If you havent tried it out can you test it out jus plug a headphone in and wiggle the wire a bit.

^_^ Im glad i found your thread i like everything i heard so far. I wish i was smart enough to check ebay weeks ago LOL
 
thanx for the link, i installed it fine but when i tried to run flash sites, even mflash.comit says to upgrade to flash 10.1 like it is not recognizing it being on my phone yet. and yes i am using dolphin HD.

Bummer. Looks like X owners will wait a few more months for Flash. Sense must have resources that Flash uses. Skyfire at least plays some video content, so X has that option.

I tried downloading this on my inc and it wouldnt open for some reason idk i tried uninstalling it and reinstalling and it still didnt work oh well guess ill wait til i get my x on the 15th to try again

so you are saying you can select text in the browser just by holding down on the screen, because that sure does not work for me in the browser. i can do it in texts and emails but not in the browser

I thought he was talking about when you need to enter a web address, maybe I was mistaken. Are you able to download from the Market?

I tried that and had no luck, did you just turn it off, wait a bit and turn it back on? I called Verizon and they said it is because the phone isn't officially out yet, but you know how reliable they can be at times.
 
yes, i jsut did a quick powercycle. i have since downloaded robodefense demo, holphin hd, and a few others. i will say that there are apps i cant see in the market yet, like paypal and mobile package tracker which i assume is because the official release ahs not happened so the device is not recognized.
 
More pics an stuff! Let's see some nice clear shots of the different screens and different live wallpapers running on the home screens.
I haven't seen one pic or video yet of the phone with anything besides the droid eye live one or some awful, non-complimenting wallpaper.

And I feel like some of the pics I see of the X's menus and screens, the colors just seem dull to me- like they used dull colors and that the screen is just dull-looking quality-wise. Or maybe it's that the menu system is just dull in comparison to Sense UI or something.

Is that how it seems to you two new owners at all?

With the N1 and Dinc, they each had a optical trackpad or a mouse ball, which made for selecting exact text much easier. Since the DX does not have such a device copying text from web pages a lot trickier. first you should be able to just hold your finger on the screen to bring up the options to select text or a bubble of some sorts, this is not the case. you have to go to the menu---setting----select text to start copying any text. here comes the tricky part, there is no on screen cursor so you do not know exactly where you are selecting until the pink line shows up after you touch the screen. As soon as you remove your finger from the screen it says "text copied to clipboard" i have not found a way to even scroll down the web page, basically if you cant see it you can copy it. there has to be a way but i have not found it yet.

It seems, per a Q&A at androidcentral on the X, you aren't the only one with this difficulty. Here's a quote of an answer about cutting and pasting.

Copy/paste are available in the browser, via the menu button.

It really isn't that much bigger than the Incredible, in fact I don't see why some people have been complaining about the size. Is that 11 hours awake time what29? If so that's incredible, pun intended. I just might have to ditch this Inc if I keep hearing food battery reports like this...

that is 11 hours since unplugged. i do not see an "awake time" on this like i did the Dinc. there is an up time, which is just the amount of time the phone has been turned on, wether it is plugged in or not. then there is the time since unplugged. i though the Dinc had an "awake time" which actually showed how much the screen was on or something like that.
 
thanx for the tip on the body glove, i called VZW today and mine will be here tomorrow too. i am not taking any chances with this thing. now i just need a car dock and a desk top dock
