Questions you would like answered.

Yeah, it's looking more and more like that. Although, it's still possible that there'll be a staggered release for the different carriers, depending on which phones are prioritized.

Part of me feels like Sprint will prioritize the SG Note 2 over the Optimus G, since they had the formal press release for the SG Note 2 first. And they don't have a Phablet available yet, so they're the only ones not offering one at all (Verizon released the Vu or Intuition, ATT had the Note 1, and T-mobile released the Note 1 for a brief period).

So, if I were to predict, I'd say that Sprint would be the first of all the carriers to offer the Note 2. I never would have said that before, but it would make logical sense for them.

Ughhhhhhhh!!!!!! I need to spend my money now!!!!! :D

Only questions I have are anticipated release date and lte radio with quad or dual-core?

What's with the images?

It was already confirmed as quad-core w/ LTE radio, but depends on what version you're talking about.

I'm trying to think positively, that Sprint will do the right thing and offer it right after the 10/24 press event, but...the logic in me thinks that, due to the LG release date on 11/11, Sprint's Note 2 might be late November or early December. I hope not, but I just don't know that Sprint would fit in 2 powerhouse phones within a short release window in between.

Then again, I guess it can be argued that not everybody going for the Note 2 will want the Optimus G and vice versa.

At the risk of causing multiple moans, groans, and general frustration, there's still that little tidbit of information people seem to forget .... Sprint's roadmap originally had this thing set for Q1 2013.

It's still a toss-up, unfortunately.

(ducks and moves out of the line of fire)

I need Sprint to get their marketing plan together and learn the consumer. My opinion I'll try to remain positive, some phones they sell with less fanfare I don't get it at times. I keep seeing the galaxy tab 10 every five min on tv maybe that's why no promo for note 2. I've been with Sprint a long time and if I don't look on the website or go into the store I wouldn't know half that junk they try to sell to the public. These hot soon to come phones need more attention at times.

Really? I don't remember that.

I've said it before and will again.....Sprint isn't crazy. They know not offering the original Note was not the smartest move on their part. They also know Note 2 is going to be huge; not just for them but for all the carriers and Samsung.

My wishful thinking tells me Sprint is going to hit this one out the park before other carriers get a chance to launch....at least that would be an awesome move for them. Holding out for too long will just cause people to buy whatever is available....i.e. iP5.

Hopefully, with Softbank's investment, Sprint will finally be able to afford a lot more marketing than they have been able to do for specific phones in the past.

I still say Nov 11th Sunday. and yes I know the LG is coming out that day, but Sprint has deployed two or more devices on the same day or a day or two apart from each other in the past.

For example:
2011-06-24 Both the HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View 4G (and a few days after) the
2011-06-30 Motorola Photon 4G
2011-08-21 RIM Blackberry Touch 9850 and Samsung Conquer 4G
2011-09-09 Kyocera Brio and Kyocera Milano
2011-09-14 apple iPhone 4 and 2 days later the Samsung Epic 4G Touch
2011-10-02 RIM Blackberry Curve 9350, LG Marquee, Kyocera Duramax
2011-10-23 Motorola Admiral, HTC EVO Design 4G
2012-03-11 Kyocera DuraPlus, LG Rumor Reflex, ZTE Fury

Photon was 7/31, ts. And remember, the View 4G was on the separate tablet plans, not the phone plans (I even tried to see if they'd let me add the View on my existing family plan as a separate phone...hahaha).

The iPhone wasn't until October (I remember cuz I got that for my family member, but even had to wait another month before Best Buy finally had it in stock).

I know...LOL...I seriously hope you're right about the dual launch though. Waiting until late November / Early December would be extremely painful.

You and me both!!!
Sprints marketing sucks. As far as the consumer, sometimes I'm not sure what type of consumer Sprint actually wants. If it weren't for Samsung advertising by any means necessary, the only people who'd know about the Note 2 are Note 1 users and geeks.

Back when I bought my Photon I could count on one hand how many commercials I saw advertising it. Even the signage in the store was placed all the way in the rear....out of sight out of mind.

Sprint Marketing is a chief reason why they aren't gaining any ground on the other carriers yet. Those boneheads strike me as the guys who passed marketing and business schools with a D average...

I agree to an extent. The problem with marketing a soon to be available phone is that consumers have a very short attention span. (I'm not an Apple fan, but I can admit when someone does something right) The iPhone has such successful launches because the product is available almost immediately after announcement, so it is still fresh in consumer's minds. Both manufacturers and carriers need to get on the ball and not be afraid of making announcements and availability within days.

Well there is a Gaussian curve when it comes to distribution, so even those low end graduates need jobs right?
