Well I believe that the LG community has a niche spot over in xda. True, its not as big as the Samsung ones but its respectable enough just like the Photon sections.

Yeah, I'm sure it does, ts...thing is, I still haven't rooted. I'll be rooting the Photon as soon as I upgrade though. It's more important for me, because I also use my phone for business, to stick with the stock updates...so LG's OEM support has to step up from what I've seen in most of the complaints.

Sorry guys...tied up with iPhone garbage

No carrier branding In the us along woth no major hardware differences

No narrowed down release date but everything is lining up to be mid Oct to mid Nov as speculated

When I have more I will update

Hello,
Earlier in this thread you mentioned online rumors that Verizon may skip the note 2 for the htc. That was before the story broke on the 10th about all 4 carriers hopefully having it but I wanted to see what info you have about VZW getting the note 2...

Thanks!

I have a feeling that a LOT of people are going to go for the Note 2 and the dev community will be right on top of it. LG, like the Photon, IMO, will have very little support.
Not saying it won't have any....just very little.
The Photon was like that as well. Not many devs had one to work on.

so far this is the first smartphone that i'm /really/ excited about :D tinkering with themes on my rooted kindle fire and i really enjoy the freedom of customization :D

I am sorry in advance for I don't know yet on how to post or where to post. My question is how do I install downloaded apps onto my Galaxy Note??

Under Settings and Security, there should be an option to allow apps from unknown sources. Enable that checkbox and you should be good.

From previous posts, there is a screenshot of the about phone screen showing a VZW model number, and there are pictures of the Note II with VZW carrier branding on the back and front home button (really hope that doesn't make it to the final release). From the evidence, it seems the VZW model is a go.

Wonder if VZW will try to lock the bootloader on the Note II like they did with the SGS III... Mr. Ed, any ideas?

Thanks. Saw that but I didn't know if Mr. Ed was referencing rumors/info that came out after that vs before.

Was so bummed that the Note 1 didn't come to VZW (created a thread there at launch telling reasons why I think it is the perfect phone).

Hoping this is all set. My Galaxy Nexus has been really good overall but this phone is perfect. I say bring on the 6" phones!! :D

Still says only up to 32GB microSD supported. Didn't the GS3 say 64GB?

Yeah. I thought it was strange when they said that as well.

Then again, even phone as old as the original Droid can say up to 64gb supported...lol...cuz they've all proven to work. I've been rocking my 64gb card for months in my Photon.

The part that is making my head spin in that link is the reference to cellular phone and secondary cellular phone where it says Dual parallel operation.
GSM & CDMA, ????? for the SPH-L900 which is the model for the Sprint version.

if it ends up being a world phone i am going to flip out.

Same thing was mentioned in the xda thread. Part of me doesn't believe it'll truly be a would phone...but, if it is and the sim is unlocked, that would be the cherry on top pushing me to get the note 2 over the eclipse (although, if the us version of the eclipse is non-removable battery and no sd, it's a moot point cuz note 2 would be hands-down choice).

Honestly I lived with a locked bootloader on my D3 and it wasn't bad. It was just a huge pain when going from a previous version OS to a new OS (for the D3 it was GB to ICS). I can still root and ROM flash to my heart's content. I may wait a little on it to see if a leaked bootloader comes along like it did for the SGS3. I just really want my undervolting to balance against the high drain screen.
