Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

When customers are just using me as a complaint board. This while I'm trying to do everything and working with lazy coworkers.... I hate lazy people!

Just remember that nearly every corporate endeavor in the world is 88% worthless, 10% clock-watchers, and 2% high-octane. Consider yourself part of the 2%. Since the warm, brown stuff of life runs downhill, someone worthy will notice your work eventually. Keep a smile on your face, and good things will come your way. If they don't, change jobs. Good luck, and stay happy. :)

An update on my other half:
She has been moved to a skilled-care facility called Vibra, just a short distance from where she was at Northside Suburban Medical Center. She's still on a ventilator, and g-tubed - but she's been woken up. She answers questions with a shake of her head. Today, they had to increase her oxygen level, as they had her off the ventilator for a good while yesterday. They say it's going to be a lengthy slog, but that she should make it; from whichever creed you hail from, please continue to send your positive energy and prayers. Thanks to all of you for your continued support. LW :)

Yesterday we had about 3.5 inches of forecast for less than an inch of snow. I apologize for the use of the 4 letter word (snow). My driveway enters the town owned road on a curve. Whenever the town plows the road, the driver cuts the corner meaning the heap of snow at the end of the driveway is actually in the middle of the road. I then have the honor shoveling several feet of the road as well as the usual heap. (Que sound of steam escaping through my ears) A R G H !

There I feel better now. I am glad this thread is here. :)

Welcome, whitehat. This is, indeed, the room full of ground gears; just the place to let off steam, to make one's self feel better. Enjoy the forums, give your phone root access to make your Android experience into an addiction, and have a good week - LW
ps - I grew up in New England, and I endured indentured servitude at the handle of a shovel as a kid growing up between the '60s and '70s; I miss the quiet outdoor acoustics of snow, but I don't miss shoveling it (chuckle).

I stopped smoking 18 months ago, and I 'vape' now. The e-cig that I use - an Ego-T - costs less to keep up with, compared to regular cigarettes, and they're less harmful. I spend about $35-40 a month to keep up with e-liquid and cartomizer coil/wicks, versus almost $300 a month for regular cigarettes. Suggest this to your neighbors; maybe, you can even try it yourself, if you smoke. It's very satisfying, and my lungs have never looked better since I picked up the nicotine habit; of course, when I was growing up, both of my parents smoked - so, it was genetic AND environmental for me to get a habit going as a teen. Fun facts to know, and tell... have a good week. LW

Dear Canada,
We have been very patient with you thus far. We have overlooked things you have done against us, like passing off weird ham as bacon or inflicting Justin Bieber on us. The biggest reason we have forgiven these offenses is, of course, Rush (with Tim Horton's coffee running a close second.) I must now protest, on behalf of the American people, this frigid air you continually export to us. Such cruelty can no longer be tolerated and I demand that you cease and desist immediately! Failure to do so will result in a decisive retaliation, in the form of us sending you Miley Cyrus. You have been warned.

Yep, but obviously we all don't get it off ...... and when i say we i mean my stupid Employer

Today was my son's birthday; since I divorced his mother in 2008, we haven't been cozy; not for my lack of trying, however. That, and being without my wife-to-be, really grinds my gears. In a sad way.

My new girlfriend does that vape, and payday I'm going to try it. Well except the maple syrup flavor lol. I dont think these people would, since they never buy their own, but I'll suggest it. Both my parents smoked as well, heavy too, but they let me start when I was 13. How nice huh? Have a good week yourself and thanks for the tips...
