Root [ROM][ACS] GB UNleashed 2point3 [GBU-3/20/11] " KING STYLE "

what phone number is in menus.settings.call.voicemail number

mine did that for 24 hours...then started working

My phone number is in there. 'My Carrier' is also set as the voicemail service... this makes my brain go screwy. Why doesn't it work? Is it sprint's way of saying, 'Your phone works too well. Lets throw a wrench at it.'?

hahaha... I am not sure...

do you have a titanium back up of vvm ? also try clearing cache for vm in manage applications

i did to...I kept deleting cache and data in manage applications then gave up on it...the next day it worked...it makes no sense...butt that is what happened.

GV is easy to set up. Just make sure you sign into your google account and go to GV settings and change the notifications or you will get email and text notifications along with the one in the status bar

I can't get wifi tether nor the portable hotspot to work.....I get an error message. Anyone else having trouble w/ wifi tether?

I haven't seen the error message but have read about it....in those cases I suggested a reflash after wiping dalvik and cache ...don't wipe system just flash on top of what you have so you don't lose anything

Will give that a try now......The vvm link you referenced earlier in this thread looks like a flashable zip, correct?

EDIT: Nevermind lol, I just reread the post. Also, it says to uninstall any vvm apk before flashing. I can't find any trace of vvm when searching in TB and in applications. Should I just flash then?

Is your wifi tether working ok?

Okay, I wiped and reflashed and wifi tether still isn't working. These are the errors I'm receiving:

Setting channel
failed

Setting essid
failed

Setting ad-hoc mode
failed

Activating WiFi interface
failed

Any ideas?

let me make sure mine is still working. it may be an issue with r2 only...and would explain why I am not having the issue as I am still using r1

voicemail is just the apk in a zip...I unzipped and installed it ....and you are correct...there shouldn't be any voicemail on your phone prior to..he didn't include anything

Just so I'm clear, I currently got my sprint vm working and don't have visual voice mail setup. Installing this apk will give me visual voice mail? I wouldn't need to uninstall sprints vmail, would I?

I installed the one that is sprint vvm apk and have sprint vvm. I have the apk on my phone I can try and email it or drop box it

tested my hotspot. turned it on and connected another evo to my connection via that evo's wifi and all worked as it should

Earlier you mentioned you were running R1. Do you think that makes a difference? Because for the like of me I can't get my wireless tether to work! I've tried uninstalling the apk and reinstalling, no cigar, tried wiping cache/dalvik cache and reflashing, no cigar......I probably should do a complete wipe and try reflashing........What do you think?

I thought GAPPS was removed from the ROM in R2?? I know there is a separate GAPPS file, but when I load the ROM and boot before flashing GAPPS, it walks me through the Google account setup. I skip that, then flash GAPPS, setup my account and it takes me to the Market to download apps. But then I keep getting a FC on Gmail.

Oh and also, with first boot I get a screen where I have to choose the Setup method (it lists a system device or something for the first option and SetupWizard for the second).

I've wiped manually twice, and used Kings format all as well, so I think I'm getting a clean install, but something just isn't right.

Anyone else have problems with Gmail?

Edit: Ahh, forgot to try clearing data and cache, maybe that will fix it. But still it's strange that I'm getting GAPPS to install in the ROM before flashing the GAPPS file.

Maybe I should flash R1......Do you have the zip for R1 I can download? Also, are you still on 1.77 radio's?

I am on 1.90 radios. I can't post a public link to r1...gapps is included and they have copyrights on it ....but I do have it

The set up bug is caused by 2 set up apk included. I thought he fixed that in r2

Hmm, is there anyway to uninstall the task killer that comes pre-installed with this rom?

Also, my battery life is awful and takes forever to charge, maybe I should try a different kernel maybe, or are there any ideas to saving battery?

Thanks.

I've been running this for about a week and it is AWESOME!!!! THANKS!

Only one issue: my phone all of a sudden started rebooting itself, going to the "HTC EVO" screen, shutting off, then back to the white "HTC EVO" screen again, over and over.

I can get it to the fastboot screen, but as soon as I try to go to recovery (or just turn it on or reboot), it goes back into the "HTC EVO" screen and off loop. I hope my phone isn't' dead.

Please help. Any ideas to save mah fone??!! :'(
