Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Need help i have my motorola triumph on CM9 v0.611.0 and it will reboot every 5 minutes, should i wipe the date first then reinstall it because it works good other than that and i did not overclock it.

I think that's a problem with the games because I have the same issue on my tablet running an official ICS rom.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not asking for a fix (if even needed) just trying to figure out if this is working. This came up awhile back when I noticed that 99memory didn't seem to be working.

I know we all love our android games, but I think we should try and minimize posts about them, at least in the rom threads. Games are not really a high priority, at least compared to things like texting,calls, gps etc and other phone functions.
Also, a lot of games just don't work because iCS is stil fairly new and it often has nothing to do with the rom.

Have you tried the fix permissions function in CWM? Sounds like that might be the issue, but I'm just guessing. Or maybe the r/w permission on the file are wrong smehow?
Yes, it looks like it should work. So off-hand, not sure why it doesn't. At some point, it'll probably need to be looked into.
Have you done a factory wipe/reset and then done a fresh install? Also, did you make sure that your downloaded file was not corrupt? Check the md5 sum and see if it matches what I posted.
Yes, do a factory reset/wipe data and try reflashing after that.

MMS Doesn't seem to be working for me, whenever I get an mms, it pops up with the download option and ever stops downloading the image, and I never get the image. What's up with that?
after flashing 6.11.0 all the contacts I added my self were wiped, wth?

I am also having issues installing the zip. I had v0.6.10.03.0 but then flashed back to CM7 to use the camera. I wanted to just reinstall the CM9 rom instead of using the backup but I could not get past the splash image. I knew something went wrong when the zip took roughly 3 seconds to install. The exact same issue happened with the latest update as well. I always factory reset as well as format the system. The MD5 sum matched my file. I am lost.

It's really strange. Are you doing a format system in addition to doing a factory reset/wipe data? If so, that is one step that I never do and have never had a problem.
If you don't mind doing a quick test, please try this:
1. Restore a backup-any backup.
2. Reboot the phone into the ROM--just to make sure that it restored ok.
3. After the phone is fully booted up, reboot back into recovery.
4. Do a factory wipe/data reset.
5. Flash the cm9 0.6.11.0 Zip file.
6. Reboot.
Does it boot now?
I just tested sending and receiving an mms containing pictures. I was able to download the received mms fine and the sending worked as well. This is using the stock mms.
As for your contacts, did you make sure that your account was set to sync to google? If it wasn't synced, then it probably got wiped out. You can check on your gmail account in a browser to see if your contacts are in there--which it should if your account was set to sync.

I'm running 6.10.3 and have from the first flash. I've been having some issues with my reception. As far as I know I'm running the stock radio and PRL. I never changed it and I've only flashed MIUI and this.
I think my problem is that I continually lock on to the wrong tower. I'm constantly seeing an 'R' next to my signal with no bars and no 3G. I can cycle Flight mode and it will most often find a connection after that, but It shouldn't be having this problem. I never had it before with MIUI.

Unfortunately, I think you are right. Incredicontrol voltage settings are not being retained and set at boot after all. It held the settings once after I renamed the init.d file/folder. After that though, it would just revert back to the defaults. I used to titanium backup to convert incredicontrol to a system app, but this did not help.

would getting just flash to work (camera flash) be easy? That's the only thing I liked with the cam tbh since I don't take many pictures. Trolling people with flash is the greatest

Yeah me too, I've noticed after flashing 6.10.3 my 3G is usually always 1x and my bars are a bit lower.

I don't use incredicontrol, but I think it uses init.d scripts.
I use System Tuner Pro for clock speed, gov, Mem, voltage, I/O... everything. It can set these via init.d (best) or just "on boot"... don't know really how that works, but the settings are reinstated using this method.

I just wanted to weigh in on the ROM flashing issue. I actually have the same problem; if I wipe absolutely everything (factory reset/wipe data, clear both caches, format /system), then flash this ROM once, it appears to complete too quickly and if I reboot afterwards, it freezes at the boot logo.
However, if I simply flash it again immediately after the first flash, it takes a bit longer and results in a working system. At least for me.
So yeah, just try flashing twice in a row (and then gapps of course). Kind of odd that this needs to happen, though. All the other non-ICS ROMs I've tried only need one flash.
In any case, great work on this CM9 ROM. Super smooth and very nice to use.

Ive just downloaded the newest CM9 file update (0.6.11.0). You tube appears to work fine. When I try streaming a movie through Netflix, I get sound but no picture. The screen goes dark. Is there a fix for this or is this still being worked on?? Also, just to let everyone know, I had downloaded the previous version of CM9 and just cleared cached and installed the update. Then I was puzzled that when I when into my contacts, they were gone and when I went under accounts and sync (in settings), my google account was gone and no way to attach my google account. I went back and reinstalled the CM9 Gapps file and my contacts are now there, along with my google account in accounts and sync. Just thought I would let everyone know. By the way, good job on the rom so far.
Video playback is mostly fixed in 0.6.11, but there is still an issue with Netflix that is being worked on.
