Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Very odd process but somehow it worked! lol. Thank you for all of your work and help! This is an awesome ROM and it is not even fully complete!!!

Ok, that confirmed my suspicion and I just tested and was able to reproduce your issue.

It seems that if you do a "format system" in CWM, it seems to format system into a format that is causing the bootloops.

You should NOT be manually doing a format system in CWM before flashing any future CM9 updates since flashing the ROM will automatically format system into EXT4 format properly.

Doing a factory wipe/reset data is fine.

Ive just downloaded the newest CM9 file update (0.6.11.0). You tube appears to work fine. When I try streaming a movie through Netflix, I get sound but no picture. The screen goes dark. Is there a fix for this or is this still being worked on?? Also, just to let everyone know, I had downloaded the previous version of CM9 and just cleared cached and installed the update. Then I was puzzled that when I when into my contacts, they were gone and when I went under accounts and sync (in settings), my google account was gone and no way to attach my google account. I went back and reinstalled the CM9 Gapps file and my contacts are now there, along with my google account in accounts and sync. Just thought I would let everyone know. By the way, good job on the rom so far.

On on the newest update of CM9. When I try to do a backup in CWM, its saying error while backing up boot image. Can anyone help me with this?? Thanks

Thank you! I just remember doing it for CM7 so I just carried the process over into CM9.

One little hint...
Wipe cache and Dalvik before doing your backup.
Backup will be smaller. Mine is 100-150mb smaller.

Good idea.

I just move most of my backups to my computer and store it there. I keep 1 or 2 backups of each of the roms on my phone for ease of restoring: miui, cm9, cm7, and stock. But I am using a 16 GB card so I have room for all of this.

Changelog:
Alpha 0.6.11.1
-Enabled btwlancoex again for the ones that like having it enabled.
-Attempt to fix Netflix streaming (need testing).

Ok, I added a link to 0.6.11.1 in the OP. Anyone that wants to, please try seeing if that fixes Netflix.

There will be a new build later tonight that disables btwlancoex again if the Netflix works for people that prefer having btwlancoex disabled.

Thanks.

I just finished building with the additional product_packages added and am flashing right now. I'll test Netflix and report back in a few minutes.

And Netflix still does not work. Audio plays while the Netflix loading screen just sits there, no video. Here's the logcat:

Thanks Mantera! MMS still doesn't work for me, but I got over that, also I rebooted and my contacts were back :) thanks for the help!

MMS should work unless your area is having some sort of local outage. You may want to consider doing a factory wipe/reset data and then reflashing the rom and gapps again after that.

Did you just build with the 2 extra packages that you listed in your other post? or did you do a repo sync against my repos?

If you didn't repo sync, then please try my posted ROM. I added more packages than just the 2.

I repo synced so I got all the ones you added. Unless I screwed something up (which is always possible), my build and the one you posted should be the same with the exception of the btwlancoex thing.

Need some help. I just made a backup of the newest update of CM9. When I try to do a restore with the file, it comes up MD5 mismatch. I made sure the file doesnt have any spaces in it. Also, I made sure the file is in the backup folder of CWM. What am I doing wrong?? Please help!

All of my backups are saying the same thing when I try to do a restore, MD5 mismatch. I must be doing something wrong.

To my knowledge, you should never edit the folder name or file names for the backup or you will get an md5 mismatch. If you've done that, you may have ruined your backups. I don't have that much experience with this, though, so I could be very wrong.

No, its not that. I have made two backups today, one in CM9, the other in CM7. Other backups I have made in previous days will restore, but the ones I made today are coming back with MD5 mismatch. Those previous versions, I have changed part of the name and it restores fine. I dont know why these two recent backups will not restore??

check the size of the backups.
If you're having full SD card issues, they may be incomplete. Check the available space on your card too.

Just an FYI, Google Earth now works in 6.11.0.

Also, I never got a response on my signal issues. Any thoughts from the devs?

Mantera have u heard anything from yumbrad lately or is he still off the grid just wondering somebody had said he was working on camera
