Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Yeah, I don't think the OC is working right at this time. Needs more work.

It seems like it is... The performance section says it's reaching 2ghz.
EDIT: It also seems more smooth overclocked, though it could just be my imagination :P

Couple of questions, are we going to have to flash gaaps everytime we update for a while? And also, am I just missing something or is automatic connections to wireless still in the works?

Thanks for all the work!

It's probably the placebo effect... Mine can OC to 2ghz too and mine can normally only handle like up to 1.5ghz before rebooting so I doubt its working. Plus quadrant gets the same results...

My wifi is working like a champ now too, and the sleep policy actually works for my phone now to compared to CM7.

I used it throughout the night last night unplugged just to see how the battery would stand up and it seemed to be on par or maybe even slightly better than cm7 too.

Also, I dont know if anyone else has noticed this, but theres no tearing effect in youtube in portrait mode anymore either :)

From what I can tell, this is something with the way ICS is built. Every phone with cm9 ports has this issue. So yes, you will need to reflash gapps every time.

What is the proper method for updating CWM? I'm planning on loading the alpha but need to update to the latest clockwork mod?

I'm having this problem as well-- after I enable wifi, I then have to manually tell it to connect to my network. I could have sworn that it was auto-connecting on 0.5.0, but maybe I'm imagining things.

There are 2 threads linked in the first post with step by step instructions. You update it the same way that you initially install it. I would read through them and ask there if you have more questions.

I'm auto connecting after enable.

Someone mentioned the battery life differences. So far mine is about the same according to my monitor widget. Maybe even a little bit better.

*edit* tested Jet Car Stunts. Really smooth. Even sensor input is really good.

Loaded up the alpha.. I am running ICS on my touchpad and to me, the difference is night and day from CM7. Even in the alpha form it flows much nicer; plus I now have PROXY support on WIFI for work (I have no signal where I work but Corp. Wifi + Proxy + Google Voice= acceptable service. :D)

setup wizard has unexpectedly quit, I can't get passed this screen, any reason why I'm running into this road block?

i have the latest clockwork mod
wipe data/factory reset
flashed gmapps
and rebooted x2

anybody experiences poor signal? at the same spot CM7 gives me -68dbm, but CM9 only has -91dbm......

btw i am at lower Manhattan.

one more thing i noticed speedtest can't find correct servers (ones close to NYC) anymore. instead CM9 picks one in IL. maybe the poor signal is related with prl?

While my quadrant scores are 900-1000 points lower than what I got with cm7 @2ghz, I have noticed that 2D frame rates are the same and 3D rates are 2-3 times higher (at any speed) . That's in quadrant also. I'm seeing times logged at higher clockspeeds, but it doesn't seem like it.

I had the same problem. Make sure you flash the updated gapps for ics. Use the link they provided.
