thanks RFB
I did do battery stats but slightly differently.
charged to full while off.
turned on and let drop to 99%
turned off and charged to full.
then cleared stats.

will check out the cpu to see if that helps

cheers

Apologies if this has already come up, but how come the Home key and the power button dont work.? They only serve to wake up the phone.

Edit: They both started working all of sudden after doing some restores with Ti. Weird.

You're right, it's not you, it's me :)

Power Off and Reboot were also switched around but that's sorted itself out too. Now to properly test drive it.

hi Dan.
was wondering if adding some sort of 3g data control to reduce battery drain
might be possible? I think I've seen it on some roms

cheers

it would increase the system size which kinda goes against what this rom is about.
you can get market apps that does that

true I guess.
I tried an app but it told me that GB prevents this action :-\
will try some others
cheers

Timerriffic? Its brill control anything you want on the phone, depending on the time of the day,
e.g. my data is turned off overnight, wifi on for 20mins before i get up for work, [this gives a window for news apps etc to update], data on during the day, ringer/notifications volume 75% for work, 100% when I finish etc etc... flawless...

I'm having a little problem. I can't get any 3G connection at all. I've wiped and re-flashed a few times and it doesn't work even on a fresh install with nothing restored whatsoever.

it might not be the rom, infact if youve wiped and reinstalled i very much doubt it is
its either your apn settings or your provider has problems/disabled data

Yes it is. Once again no faults at your end.

Now this is solved, I'm perfectly happy with the rom. Fast, stable, great battery life. The only thing left for me to do is to change the hboot.

Hi SUroot!

As always, my questions might be daft in the extreme, but here goes... ;)

Got to thinking the other day, when trying to update flash player and angry birds rio. Since you use a script to bind the market update cache to the /data-partition, I needed in the neighborhood of 40 Mbs free space on the before the updates would install. That flipping low memory warning again...

My thought is: how much use is this cache binding script, if I still need to keep up to 40 Mbs free on /data? Would your hboot partition table with a 25 Mb /cache, instead of 5 Mb, do the same job without this script? Then you'd get the warning at the ususal 15 Mb free /data at the same amount of usable /data (40 Mb - 25 Mb = 15 Mb)

That 15MB is always going to be required on any ROM and its true that you can only install apps smaller than the size of the free space -15MB

For dGB v1.5 (although it wont be called 1.5 I will be re-investigating the expandable RAM disk for cache download option. This will mean that apps are downloaded into RAM space (not cache or data) so no such limits will matter (IF I can get it to work).

I noticed it's not listed in the theme kitchen. Will it be? Is it possible to use a Redux 1.2 theme?

No you can't use Redux 1.2. When you create your kitchen and go to the upload page you need to tick the system box and select the framework and system files which are found in /system/framework and /system/app

Just did this myself and it worked fine. I think it is the system box you tick, my memory is poor and the kitchen is full at the moment so I can't check it out.
