No you can't use Redux 1.2. When you create your kitchen and go to the upload page you need to tick the system box and select the framework and system files which are found in /system/framework and /system/app

Just did this myself and it worked fine. I think it is the system box you tick, my memory is poor and the kitchen is full at the moment so I can't check it out.
I was trying that yesterday but the files kept failing to upload.

I'll keep trying but in the mean time has anyone got a nice theme they'd like to share?

Edit: It's working now. I'm back in business.

also take into consideration that cache is not used to manual installations so its still worth it as i quite often install my stuff manually from pc

actually im getting a not so good battery life with the manu kernel. was getting better battery life with the stock redux kernel..

but my real question is - do you guys know a way to change the autobrighness levels?

Theres no option to do this. In my experience I have never found the Autobrightness level tweaks to work very well.

Have you got wifi sleep policy set to Never?

nop. its on "when screen is off".
until now i could use the phone for a day and a half (with coolexes aces3d) and now im barely making it through one day...which is weird..

ps
still a wonderfull ROM tho. :)

battery life much better now. 46% since the first post this morning with moderate use. thanks a bunch man!

Ok, noob question :P Even with manually APN setup, the ROM should auto-detect your phone number and stuff right? Or do I need to enter that as well?

oh :/ maybe i didnt understand the q :/ yeah im gsm - ive not had any issue with the phone/radio part if that is what the OP meant

cheers
dan

within a gsm environment the number is written to the sim and not the phone so you would manually set it either on another phone or some versions of android where you can edit it like cm7

I'll need to do a bit more digging then. That's the only issue I have found so far with the CDMA port, but it's a rather major one :P

It was the best template available without having to get too deeply involved.

I can add you as a colaborator if you feel creative ;)
