Root [ROM][AOSP]dGB v01_28_2012| 2.3.5| 375MB /data| 60MB /system |Mult-lang |Unlock |Reboot[28 Jan]

aye its not rom, for me it restored half of my android secure, but i dont think it restores the libs that get moved in GB
i was running the df command while android was booting and i could see the dalvic build up and the data rise through the roof.
this is the only flaw i found with the recovery and im gutted. mainly because he doesnt answer his thread. i know hes checking it as his recent logon was today.

amonRA it is

I haven't used either the CWM or the RMD. have just rooted my phone about 3 weeks ago, and playing with roms right now. But I guess there's a battery status wipe bug with Amonra.

Used it with CM 7, and now on dGB. Battery status never refreshed after charging. Its always incremental.

i get know what you mean "Battery status never refreshed after charging. Its always incremental"

also another downside to using amonRA is that you cannot so selective backup and restores. this didnt bother me before but can come in handy
i just dont trust anything else to risk it.

its a shame RMD has this flaw

Hey SU,

I'm probably going to flash this bad boy over the weekend.

I love Redux, but this looks like this could be even better. Let the research commence!

(Oh yeah - well done on developing/compiling such a successful ROM)

so your not recommending RMD now then, to be honest ive only just heard about and it look amazing but i dont want to run into problems.

ive never recommended it.
ive only every recommended amonRa 2.0.1 and cwm 2.5.0.7
i was using it and tested it without problems untill now
dgb is the 1st rom ive used built in apps 2 sd since ive been rooted so i havent seen it till i just did this test and confirmed it was borked.

sorry didnt mean to imply that you were recommending it, wrong choice of words, id read your posts over at xda and it seemed very good, its a shame it has the errors you mentioned, i just hope the dev is better soon and can iron out the known issues, as soon as thats the case ill give it a whirl.

nah i wasnt annoyed mate i was just clearing it up

yah i hope he comes back to it. was a really promising recovery

Ill be keeping an eye on xda in the hope he returns, or if someone picks it up where he left off, it definitely has potential to be the number 1 preferred recovery, I've never toyed with recoveries at all, is amonra better than cwm or about the same?

i prefer amonRA 2.0.1 never ever had a problem.
cwm 2.5.0.7 seems to be largely problem free but has its qwirks.
however you can do selective restores which is something amonRA cannot do

i get know what you mean "Battery status never refreshed after charging. Its always incremental"

what i mean here is that if the battery status shows that if the phone is at xx hrs on battery, after charging the phone it always shows xx+ hours, and never the amount of time it has been taken off charging.

Just done a test with amonra and all is working fine

I was just reading on the sticky for ROM manager doing fake flashes of CWM.
I had installed CM7, and now have dGB on my desire, did do a complete wipe before the installs.

Just one peculiar thing, for custommtd when i use fastboot erase recovery and erase system, the status is okay, but when i did fastboot erase data, i got errors like failed and unable to erase data partition, during the changing table for CM7, and dGB, both the times.

Could this be one reason where i'm unable to wipe my battery stats completely.

mmm....definitely do seem to be having a few more issues with phone and 3g signal recently - should i be flashing the radio? i hear there is a new one lurking on xda somewhere

cheers

no dropped calls as yet. but lots off data connection errors.
call wise I just noted that the signal bar was showing lower signal than normal.

No, I've always had the error in fastboot when trying to erase data. Its not much to do with recovery. I've never noticed an issue with battery stats and used amonra for over a year. But I don't know what problem in looking for

you might find it could be a networking problem in your area.
of late o2 have had problems in my area and my phone was behaving odd.
check my wifes phone and the same was happening so its not my phone at fault

I've had some issues with O2 recently.

the trackpad wake slowness i get seems random - cant see a pattern to it :/

RFB: when you said alter the Setcpu to 850 something, did you mean min and max to the same value?

cheers

no
were not refering to setcpu
we are refering to the vdd script held in system/etc/init.d
you need to modify that as your voltage values are too low
