Root [ROM][AOSP]dGB v01_28_2012| 2.3.5| 375MB /data| 60MB /system |Mult-lang |Unlock |Reboot[28 Jan]

Working now. Re-did the custom MTDs, wiped system and data installed the rom and restored data. New camera is nice and i like the scrolling. Cheers!

had to revert back to the 1107 version as the audio stepping in media when music is playing is completely mental. when you cycle up from the volumes it goes quite to ridiculous to completely silent and thats just going up the scale. full volume is quiter than mid volume and poweramp has the limiter off so its not that

i also tried the cfs kernel and it still does it so its not kernel related

how come
95havsvdd~
95dGB_Tweaks
95dGB_Tweaks~
all have the same vdd values in them?
does this mean if my device becomes unstable at 875 i will have to change it in each one of these files?

ps. flashed ontop of current build. worked fine

Gah, those that end with a tilde are linux backup versions. They shouldn't have been there.

Beautiful!
And language support too...

Thank you very much!

Yes, but not yet.... This week though. I'm doing sv first

Odd.

Haven't tried it with poweramp, but works fine for me in Google Music. Then again, I did wipe. What if you wipe some data?

im not up for some wiping right now. ive restored to good ol stable 110711. might try again later

you should use poweramp, i know googlemusic stores all your stuff but i just cant get enough of the audio engine in poweramp. its orgasmic

There should only be:

95dGB_Tweaks

Those ~ files are hidden backups (in linux at least). I doubt they are running. They shouldn't be there to be honest.

Yeah poweramp is a bit mad (mine is a restored version). Cleared data for it and it seemed a bit better. Need to investigate further as its perfect with google music.

ahh ok i see what you mean. my bad i thought the hav vdd was a normal one and didnt have the tilde at the end.

if its any consolation it did work fine with youtube as well. theres something thats been changed that doesnt agree with poweramps audio engine. its likely that its trying to compensate with a change that has been made for db variables for attenuation of different sets

Could be. I'll look deeper around to see if I can see anything. I uninstalled it. Wish I could get more than GPRS right now

Had a look in data/data and in db/folders there are some EQ strings. What exactly they mean I do not know. Have e-mailed the poweramp dev team for advice.

what exactly did you change in the audio steppings and where?
i have a feeling its being affected as poweramp doesnt use androids internal audio engine like other apps and has its own. therefor the steppings modification you made affects what poweramp is doing

EDIT: i just read that last post and it comes across as me being a arsehole. sorry wasnt meant to seem that way, just typing as im thinking

Loving the update Susan! At least now that pesky su update won't be bothering me. It seems faster to me aswell. Cheers. Mucho love! X

I edited it in the source code. Cant tell you exactly where as it was several folders down in the path and I dont have my repo in front of me.

It can also be done after decompiling the frameworks with a hex editor (can get you alink for that if you want?)

I didnt get that from that post so dont worry about it... Im more upset poweramp doesnt work for you.

yeah should be a little faster.

Let me know if you have any issues.

Most of the risky tweaks are controlled in scripts so these can be easily amended / removed to go back to default.

Poweramp:
Settings>Audio Engine>Advanced Tweaks>Uncheck DVC is the work around. Although, not sure how much impact that will have on the pleasure you get from your audio. I can confirm it works with the new volume stepping.

Flashed last thing last night and it hung at the Alpharev screen?? Restored nandroid and back working again. COuld it have been too big for the 60mb Hboot 0- with the ~ files still there?
@Rasta whats PowerAMP like on this ROM? Has SUs suggestion ^ worked?
Really want to flash but don't to until I know why it hung and if the powerAMP issue has been fixed.
Top Work folks!

i dont like androids implementation of audio its less clear.
ahh well.

Nope, the files are a few kb only. I'm on 60. It may be you need to wipe...

I can confirm turning of poweramps direct volume control fixes the madness

I'll recompile a framework without the mod.

In fact, I think I'll add Multi-lang to one FW, get rid of the duplicate files and have an alternative FW for those who WANT the volume mod...

Hows that?

Your the man! It would certainly be appreciated here!
