Root [ROM][AOSP]dGB v01_28_2012| 2.3.5| 375MB /data| 60MB /system |Mult-lang |Unlock |Reboot[28 Jan]

Its something someone asked for on xda. All it does is change it from 15 steps to 30 steps. It gives more granularity, that's all. Every volume up turns the volume up half the amount that it did before the mod.

Taking longer than expected

EDIT> no idea why but I cannot get the values back to default. I edited the AudioService.Java back to default values but they don't change in the ROM. Gonna have to recompile the entire ROM...

Looking forward to getting the new update Dan.

In the meantime, am I right in thinking that as dGB doesn't use any app2sd script, the SD card doesn't need an ext3 partition?

Got a 32 gig one coming, and I'm not sure if I'll need to partition it or not.

Keep up the great work.

Andy.

That might make some sense of the observation that PowerAmp+DVC behaved ok for me in the lower half of the volume range, but was glitched in the upper half.

Nah its alright, its a bug that needs addressing. I use poweramp too (although my SD is empty of media right now) so it needs addressing.

I managed to fit multilang all in one rom too so that was good.

Need to make coupel of amendments to scripts... I think my dirty memory tweaks are a bit too extreme... Well I had a bit of unstability, now it runs like a mother f***er.

That's right - no ext partition needed.

So I can just nandroid back up, copy old SD to PC. Format new to fat32. Copy old contents from PC onto new card, and restore?

Just want to make sure add I've not swapped SD cards before.

Andy

You don't have to on my account Dan, I'm perfectly happy with dGb 11

Why are you nandroiding at all? We only do that to back up the ext partition. Its simply copy from old sd and copy back to new one.

Well out of 6 users, 4 of us cannot use Poweramp, so...

Yeah and in version two, when I turned off DVC I did indeed notice a massive drop in audio volume. So I need to get this working with dGB

As you might recall I had a few problems with my GPS & could only get it to work with the Redux Kernel with the last update.

Well I decided that I would give the latest update a whirl & see what happened. I made a nandroid back up wiped data & cache then flashed the ROM. All worked fine but when I added the blacked out market from your dropbox the gps stopped working. I then did a nandroid restore & everything was fine again.

I thought what the hell I'll give it one more go so wiped data & cache again & reflashed the latest update. However when it booted up I got the low memory space warning. Settings told me I had 368mb internal storage with about 7 free!

I decided to restore my nandroid again but while it said restore sucessful it won't boot beyond the white HTC screen. Wiped again & reflashed ROM & now it won't get past the white HTC screen either.

Help please. What do I do?

Format system, cache and data via recovery, flash or nandroid.

because of androidsecure???

Surely if its on SD card, if you copy everything off teh sd card, youre fine?!
