Root [ROM][AOSP]dGB v01_28_2012| 2.3.5| 375MB /data| 60MB /system |Mult-lang |Unlock |Reboot[28 Jan]

My brain is having a spaghetto if I should start removing seldom used apps. I definitely trust the stability of your dGB, plus I get senseless speed and battery life to boot.

Can you help me understand if after I start uninstalling apps, do they bog the phone with litter and eventually make it unstable? ala Windows 9x.

I use "shake n not stirred" so I can shake to snooze.

You had to backup your APN's from your previous rom and restore them to this one for data to work.

This ROM isn't as straight forward as others.

As for alarm clock, I used Alarm Klock, nad was happy with that. Since bying Tasker I've installed the supported Gentle Alarm which is even better!

Yes it does. It even has something called pre-alarm that goes off extremely quiet 30 minutes before wakeup (you can disable this function), that's supposed to only wake you up if you are in light sleep. Thereby helping you to wake up more alert.
Search for it in Market, there's a free trial (no alarms on Wednesdays) for you to try it out.

Aah I'm not sure I backed them up :( will see if I can find them. Is there a fix or am I data less now? I'm not that bothered as I rarely used data connection.
I'll check out the clock Cheers, do you use a mp3 player that's light on resources?

I will say already I've noticed a big improvement in battery considering I've been on the phone all day on market and Internet B-)

You can probably find your APN settings by searching the web, or off your network's site, in which case you can enter them by hand.

Otherwise take a nandroid of dGB, restore the nandroid of your previous ROM, install an APN backup app, take a backup of your APNs, restore your dGB nandroid, install the APN backup app again and then get the APNs from that! It's a faff, but it also shows you what you can do with a couple of nandroid backups ;)

You could make a new nandroid, restore the nandroid from before moving to dGB (remember to check your hboot layout if you changed those), backup APN's using app "APN backup and restore", restore your latest dGB nandroid backup, install APN backup and restore, and restore the backup in that app.

Otherwise you should find your APN settings from your providers website.

all sorted chaps thanks. Got it off O2 website. I'm off to check the downloads index thread now. Anyone able to recomend a music player?

If you search the main Desire forum you'll find threads on this, and of course the applications forum.

But personally I'm with rowlers on this - since PowerAmp came out I've not bothered looking at any others.

Help please, i would love to use dGB

Hi, Your Rom is excellent ! great work !

i would like to try to compile my own oxygen to test.

can you tell us what is you locale setting when compiling minimal rom ?
i would like to have only the default English locale + french so what is your Product_locales config please ?

can you confirm your rom is HDPI only ?

best regards an keep going on !

Thanks for the poweramp tip will check t out.

I have a prob now, I did a nandroid backup, maybe in error, as the phone was running like a dream. Now when I bootup I get the android logo and boots showing O2 carrier, then the screen drops out goes back to android logo then cycles to homescreen showing no connectivity. Then it stuck in a loop, have to take battery out?? Do I just reflash and start again

I just got a new major problem. Wifi doesn't work. When i try to turn it on, it says "Error" right under it. Do I have to reflash?

What happened? Did it suddenly stop working, or has it never worked?
Might be kernel related.

I may have a little problem. When I set up a pattern lock, the lockscreen doesn't appear anymore. It directly shows me the pattern screen. Why?

You can't have both at the same time. It would be too many swipes to get to the launcher...
