Root [ROM][AOSP]dGB v01_28_2012| 2.3.5| 375MB /data| 60MB /system |Mult-lang |Unlock |Reboot[28 Jan]

Just wanted to say that I'm getting some pretty impressive battery life with this ROM. Maybe I'm just not used to this coming from ICS, but I've been using the ROM for about a week now and its really fantastic.

I'm getting well over 3 and a half hours of display on time before it eventually dies. That is a feat few roms can achieve. And I keep Wi-Fi on most of the time, use mobile data a lot (HSDPA) and my brightness is always 100%.
 
I just rebooted into 4ext to take a nandroid it failed stating it couldn't mount system. I then rebooted and I was missing a load of apps. I lost browser cmscreenshot and vpnservices, I now how them back but pretty sure I'm still missing some /data apps. Any ideas why this has happened?
 
Nandroid is About a week old and TB is from sunday , I have so many apps though I have no idea which ones are missing. Its working ok ATM though so il put CWM back on later and try a back up from that. Cheers for the reply
 
Im not convinced 4ext caused this. I'd suspect it was a trigger of an inevitable event. I would expect cwm would have done the same.

Recommend back up sms, full wipe, format system and data, nandroid restore, titanium restore, sms restore
 
if you are not aware which apps are gone maybe you were due a spring clean :)

this sounds like corrupt fs on the sdcard as opposed to the recovery itself
 
Yea I probably do need a spring clean haha, i restored a nandroid and its working fine now, but il scan my SD on the computer later to have a look for errors.

Even though I very rarely want to use Live Wallpapers, I don't have the option to anymore. Anyway around this? I tried restoring the data from TB but it freezes/continually restores and never finishes.

Sounds good to me. Although I must be getting old as I'm tired today.. Or in bit drinking enough to keep my tolerance up. Yep. Definitely that!
 
hi - i know! recent studies in the US found that it is more addictive than crack :D

...just waiting for the new batch of MWs to come out - there are issue with current ones so it seems

anyway can i ask as i dont think this has been mentioned before (excuse me if it is)

Is hardware accelleration fully functional on this ROM? i cant help but think it isnt and im not clever enough to know the tests needed to see whether it is.

If i play high res video on an aosp rom like CM or MW then there is no crackling audio and the framerate seems ok
if i play it on this it crackles or lags and sometimes freezes up.

could be the kernel, i dont know but it does seem to be less responsive in that retrospect
 
i dont use it too much for watching video, i just didnt understand why in certain things i was getting frame drops that i wasnt used too.
yes MW has it but that wasnt my reason for asking. it was just cos i was perplexed by it slightly and needed to know if my thoughts were correct.
this does not put me off your rom at all.

if you want to look in to how others have done it i can only see it as being a benefit and might improve the snappiness of the already quick UI

im not going to beg you to go that direction though, its not important enough for me
 
One question in regards to this ROM, as I believe it's down to the ROM as opposed to the phone.
Can this support numerous Bluetooth connections? I'm getting a new car on Saturday (Woohoo!) which supports both Bluetooth calls and has a 3.5mm aux point to connect my phone for music. But I don't want a wire, so I've bought myself a Bluetooth reciever for this so I can stream music wirelessly. So, can I stream music and still have it hooked up for phone calls?

Do not remove the original launcher. It's there as a precaution. I made it tiny so you have no reason to remove it. Like flumme says, just install go via the market as you usually would
