Root [ROM][AOSP]dGB v01_28_2012| 2.3.5| 375MB /data| 60MB /system |Mult-lang |Unlock |Reboot[28 Jan]

Is this problem also persist with cellular radio? Right now, I never spent more than 5 minutes call on any given day, but after experience the dGB amazing battery life, I was thinking of using the Desire as my support phone and might have to talk to clients for around 30-90 minutes.

As you are probably under HTC's two years warranty, I'd recommend run the official HTC 3,5 RUU update and have HTC change the mainboard.
That is the safest bet, if you need your phone to be dependable. And why wouldn't you? ;)

That's if the phone's not too beat up or water damaged...

Hi again!!
1.
I had a microphone not working incident this afternoon. It only happened this time, when I received some calls, and the callers couldn't hear me. A reboot solved the problem. I thought reporting this could help somehow.

2.
Does anyone have or know about a non-internet FM Radio app for this rom? I tried anything from the sense one to the cyanogenmod one. They didn't work.

Yeah sure. Dont know where though. Take the apk and open it in winrar and look through the res files. If they're images (suspect they are) should be easy to swap out.

Would be a bit more effort if controlled by xml files though.

@Flumme

Super unfortunately (for me), I bought it second hand from a friend - who got it as a 'gift' either HTC or some telco shortly after launch. I doubt it has warranty and I don't have the receipt and I'm out of the country. *so pout*

I remember my brother won an ipod shuffle way way back then, but it died after first connecting to USB and apple exchanged it plus extended warranty while waiting replacement. Sigh.. Just thinking out loud. XD

Its still worth RUU-ing just to see if the issue persists. If it does, it's definitely Hardware. Then at least you know.

If you do and you went the HBOOT way, dont forget to flash the downgrader from alpharev first

Should be if you're good at porting. You could try the porting tools in dsixda kitchen. You'll need a donor Rom too though

is it possible to change the colours on the dialpad?
You will need to decompile both phone.apk and contacts.apk.
Most of the images can be found in the drawable-hdpi-finger folders but are 9 patched, hence having to decompile instead of unzipping.
The number buttons are simple png images and could be changed via 7zip/winrar without decompiling.

Here's mine, if you like it --> Contacts.apk Phone.apk

@SUroot

Ok, but I'll have to give it a try next month. I don't have enough courage atm and my biorhythm is totally not helping.

..time to pester their toll-free hotline. bwahaha!

hi guys,

often i can wake the phone using the volume keys, but after a reboot this feature stops - and then returns after a while - anyone else noticed this? i actually like volume wake feature

cheers
dan

....ah - think i might have just figured it - looks like when the system lock feature is active (in notification bar) then volume is volume - but if disable it then volume wakes phone - cool :)

Hi all,

Posted a thread here http://androidforums.com/htc-desire/521902-gps-sports-app-problems.html#post4130124

Im sticking it in here in the hope someone may have had something similar...... its a really weird problem. I dont think it is in particular related to rooting and roms, since most sports apps were working ok on MildWild Oxygen Rom, but things started to go a bit funny.

I decided to bite the bullet, give the phone a proper srping clean by wiping it and flashing suRoots hboot and dGB rom, latest build. I dont think it has helped tbh. Still having lockup and crash issues as per my thread linked above. Im a bit stumped. Thought it was DX Battery Saver in a custom mode, seemed to happen when screen was off, but I leave it in general mode rather than a custom one with lots turned off, and tonight Sports Tracker just stopped running:confused: I was using it for nav with Google Maps yesterday and it was perfect for over 90 miles.

I have a few other problems as well, daft things but........ I have turned off "vibrate on answer" but it still does it. And also the flash on the notify LED only works on green, not blue. It wont flash green/amber with the phone on charge either (is it supposed to with dGB?)

Im thinking maybe the installation of dGB is a bit screwy? Any help appreciated, dont really know where to go from here.

ah, thats fine then, thanks. Think I'll try doing it all again this evening, I dont think its the ROM at all, but the phone was fine before, so I can only assume it hasnt installed right.

I'll post back with how I get on.
