Wow, just when I thought my phone couldn't get any smoother than Bugless Beast 0.3, Pete comes along and does it again.

I used ROM Manager to upgrade from 0.3, without wiping data or cache, and everything worked flawlessly.

None of the battery reporting problems that others have mentioned.
No lag when switching home screens.
App menu opens instantaneously.
Apps seem to start up faster too.

Did I mention how smooth it is?

@UBRocked Where did you get those themed facebook and twitter widgets? I have searched everywhere and still cant find them. I remember that Fabolous had put them up previously but I can't find them.

has anyone else had problems installing ChevyNo1 Kernels through ROM Manager? ive tried every one from median voltage to ultra low voltage and i get stuck at the motorola symble after install every time. I have flashed alternate recovery them back to clockworkmod recovery to see if that had anything to do with it, wiped data/cache.... still nothing but moto loop. any suggestions?

I don't post much in any forum. Mostly I read, read and then read some more. I have been following Pete for since pre froyo. I must say that this Rom for me has had no issues and unbelievable battery life. I came from .3, wiped cache and user data 3 times (only because I always do that). Every time I pick up my phone it seems stone cold like as if it was off. I used to use juicedefender but I don't need it.

I am retrying 0.4 after my typical love hate relationship I have been having with BB lately.
Hopefully no battery issues caused by the ROM as I am kernel testing right now.

**EDIT**
Holy crap, I just got a 102 on my first Jake 1200 kernel short bench! Averaging 115 and 18.999 high Linpack, average low 18s.
WOW - let's see how battery is now, lol.

I know, it's crazy right? Jake's def get the most out of my Droid, but I can't get 1.2 stable on mine. I'm able to keep it long enough for short bench (best so far was 109ms), and Linpack (got a 22 once), but when running Quadrant it'll freeze during the test. Even 1.1GHz isn't stable enough. Still, can get as low as 129 short bench w/ the 1GHz and got a new high Quadrant score yesterday of 1541.

I'm having short battery life with this rom.
I'm coming from kangerade frf57, which i must say had probably the best battery life ive had since the november release of droid.

I'm using the same kernel (p3droid 1000 low voltage), that ive been using for a while now.

Also getting a sticky (laggy) keyboard

wow! flashed this one today then flashed fabs nextheme over it and wow. by far my favorite rom and theme combo yet! added to that P3Droids 1000 LV kernel and dang. i fell in love with my droid all over again.

Where do I get the Milestone music player? I am assuming it is not included because I ran the script and it is the same music player.

So after several days with this ROM...Battery life has been incredible for me still. I have been making 16 hours with decent use with not needing to recharge. Usually I put my phone on the charger in the car or at my computer for a little while. Yesterday I made it though 12 hours of light to moderate use and was at 60% battery life. I then played several games, and did some web browsing for a few hours and went down to 20% battery after a total of 16 hours of being off the charger. For me, that is the best battery life I have seen. In standby mode (just with auto-syncing on for email, facebook, twitter, etc) my phone could easily last 2 days. It's been great!

are you using the stock kernel if not which one are you using? i too am running this rom but i am using chevy ulv-1.25. it runs great but i'm a little concerned about battery life.

so im curious, is there any benefit in downloading say a 1.1g kernel as opposed to using set cpu to turn my 1.25 down to 1.1 or would the results be the same in the end?

It depends which kernel works best for your phone. Some phones love a 1.25 GHz kernel, others don't. Make sure you make a backup prior to flashing any new kernels!

im using chevy's ulv 1.25 now and im getting great results. my linpack score was over 1700, short bench was 145. but my concern is the battery usage. it seems to drain quickly so i was thinking of scaling it back a bit. question is, if i use set cpu to so this, would this be as beneficial as downloading a lesser kernel?

I installed v0.3 early last week and it was running smooth until Friday when it froze while the screen was in sleep mode. I had to do a battery pull both times as pressing the power button and opening the keyboard did not work. I deleted the apps I had installed over the previous 24 hours and it seemed to work fine.

I installed v0.4 yesterday and I just had the problem occur again. This time my message light still blinks from a GTalk message but it will not respond.

I did a wipe before 0.3 and 0.4,

I am running 0.4 with the kernal that came with it and the Red Line Theme. I was running 0.3 with the kernal that came with it and the smoked glass theme.

Anyone else having this type of problem?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
