[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

I'm having a similar issue where if the phone dies, when I go to plug it in it does the pulsing charge on the soft buttons and then goes to the charging screen as it should. The problem is that this only lasts for maybe 10-20 seconds...Then it shuts off. I have to repeat this process several times before it has enough power to start up on its own without the charger connected, and then after boot, reconnect the charger and it charges fine. This is the only problem I have had after 3 weeks of running. So great job carlo! Thank you for making the device usable again!

If you charge the phone while off, the charging screen only appears momentarily. It should still be charging if plugged in, even if the screen is dark. I think CM does this to charge quicker.

I have just confirmed this. I guess I was thrown off by being unable to turn it on.

How would I extract the .apk? I assumed I could somehow pull it from the .cab from V8 but...
 
Ok so I have 2 questions:

I want to change the lock screen text to another color but white. I.e the clock date unlock circle which are currently white. Anyone know how this can be accomplished?

Secondly, I'm currently running b2 and I want to go up to b3. Is there anyway to keep all my data without backing up everything individually through titanium backup and moving the data to the SD card?

I flashed b3 right on my working b2 install. Download b3 and put it on the sd card, making sure the md5 is right, and flash (I think I also reflashed GAPPS and the baseband), clear both caches, and it should boot right up! Back up first to be safe.

There's an LGUSmms.apk

I assume I use that and rename?

Also is that v8 or what?

I'll report back with what happens.

EDIT- I tried both Mms.apk as in CM10 and the way it came- LGUSMms.apk, I reset the permissions back to 644, same as what apps seem to be and that didn't help. Ideas on how to get it working?

what do I do with the .odex? Just put it in the same folder?

edit- I put it in /system/apps and it didn't help, with permissions 644 or 777. what else?

edit2- google returned that if they are there it should show up after a reboot- no dice, even with a cache wipe

edit3- from more google goodness, CM10 may be deodexed, aka the odex must go. So I just deodexed the apk, and we'll see what difference that makes.

edit4- that also didn't help.

from all this I'm also stuck in a bootloop where the CM10 logo will come up then go off if I hit the power button unless I clear cache...

ideas on how to get that mms app up and running?

I mean I can do that if I change settings but then it is received as two messages.

On stock I was able to send a, say, 3 page text and while technically it was three texts, on the recipients phone it would show up as 1 long text (assuming they have an iPhone or android or certain feature phones). Nothing major but I prefer it that way.

I've been working on this with the time I have this summer. Still no screen, but no more boot loops. Bluetooth is probably a no go, but I'll take a look after screen is done.
 
i am currently on b3 with v8 baseban i have a back up of b2 but cant seem to restore the b2 kernel can anyone link a guide or the b2 kernel zip file would be preferable thanks in advance
