I really love this rom, Thanks for making this rom, but I keep having issues on my Optimus Exceed(VS840PP) with signal strength, it is very poor like 1-2 bars in my room with the V8 baseband and for some reason there is 0-1 bar atm, but I did use the correct baseband version VS840PP3 extracted from the stock 4.0.4 rom for my phone and it seems to have made it worse, With stock its perfect(2-3), but I loath what LG did to the UI and it feels way slower. Any reason why this is happening to me? Hell in even the country the signal was so bad that I went to roaming and didn't get Verizon back until I went into the city, now that was with the custom rom and V8 baseband. But it still feels like the radio is being throttled down or something, my power settings are stock clocks with SMARTASSV2 cpu governor. Any help would be very appreciated, if this isn't fixed I may have to go back to stock ICS with root(which sucks!). Thanks!

EDIT: Interesting so I set the Network Mode to LTE / CDMA / EvDO / GSM / WCDMA and now my 3G works well, so I may have solved my issue, hmmm. Well I flashed the V8 baseband and it works when it wants to and I keep going to roaming when its in my pocket. When I boot up the signal bar icon is grey and it refuses to connect right away and I have to mess with stuff to get it to work.

There's really only one dev (stcarlso) so its up to him. Quite frankly we need to be glad to have what we do haha. Don't rush him, if it can be done, he'll do it, but its a lot of work and he does have a life to. (Well I'd assume... haha only kidding I know you do)

So I'm plugging away on CM10.1 when I get a chance. Trouble is that building ROMs can take multiple hours, even on a quad core 8GB machine with SSD. I have the kernel booting up, but still no display. Now it's time to trace the call stack to the infringing location and fix it.

On the other hand, I might have an update soon that may resolve the multi page SMS problems. Turns out that there was a config in another place that supersedes the one I thought I was editing, so I've applied the settings from the stock ROM and recooked. Tomorrow I can test and see if long texts stop getting split up.

Thanks man! I hope you fix the long text problem. I dont like it when my long messages get split into half. Usually with ICS it doesnt get split. But hopefully you will fix that problem.

The SMS splitting isn't a big deal of course, but if you can fix it, you'll be the man!

I have a build for you that may fix SMS splitting. I unfortunately cannot yet guarantee that this build will properly send long text messages in all circumstances. If you're willing to try it out, let me know if the texts send properly and are actually received in one piece.

Very, very long texts (over 4 parts) are sent as MMS messages. I am trying to get the radio to split the other ones in hardware by emulating the stock rom LGUSMms.apk config. When I tried it on a 2-part SMS, I got a brief popup of "message not sent" that disappeared within seconds, and after that the MMS app showed the message as sent. I'm not sure whether it went through in one piece though.

Works perfectly for me on the Optimus Exceed except maybe the known issues in the first post and the occasional boot hang when I forget to toggle airplane mode. I pull the battery and sd card when that happens, boots right up again, reinsert sd card. It took quite a bit of fiddling but all of the workarounds I needed were mentioned in the previous posts. Probably will be on there the life of the phone since it works so well. My battery is at 18% after 1d 15h. Thanks so much for this!

Can I get the md5 of that please? I'll test anyways but it took three downloads last time to get it correctly.
 
I can confirm this doesn't work. Didn't send. Slightly different in go SMS pro where it doesn't actually error out like in the stock app but still doesn't send.

It sent nothing unfortunately. Tried both apps.

Now- I didn't wipe my phone to test, but I would think it wouldn't matter. Unfortunately I cannot spare everything on my phone to wipe and find out if that would make a difference.
