[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

I haven't had any issues with my 4G, In fact I haven't seen 3g at all... One question for you... I have seen lock screen gestures as a feature for Cm but I can't find it anywhere..

everything works well but can you fix the internal 4g sdcard
it can be seen under the system setting storage and root explorer
but can not be used or store anything

I'll look at it and put it in B1, or make an A4 if it's really a deal breaker. When I tried it, I could open it in a root explorer and see/modify files on it, but it doesn't show up in system storage since I'm not sure exactly how to modify /system/etc/vold.fstab properly. A stock ICS ROM rip of this file might be handy now to set this one straight.

Code:
#
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard 30 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.1/mmc_host/mmc0/mmc0:0001/block/mmcblk0 nonremovable

#dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.1/mmc_host
#dev_mount sdcard2 /mnt/sdcard/external_sd auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host
dev_mount extsdcard /mnt/_ExternalSD auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host

from the lucids ics. ;)

ok- here's my take on A3 - working smoothly, everything running fine

- My front camera will flip the picture in the gallery after it's been taken.
- When plugged in to my aux port, I'm having intermittent issues - every time a new YouTube video is played, i need to unplug and plug the aux cord back in... nothing big, but gets kind of annoying.
- The Bonnaroo official app crashed when I try to load the Roo Radio portion of it.
- Hot Schedules has an error every time I try to log in using the correct credentials.

  • Bonnaroo crashed on my phone too, but Google shows that the app crashes quite frequently. It is likely an issue with the app itself.
  • I cannot reproduce the Hot Schedules or Aldiko books problem, headphone port disconnection, or front camera orientation mixup. A factory reset may resolve these issues. If it does not, a logcat and dmesg could help me find a root cause.

Battery problems...
Android OS taking up 50%
It lasts about half a day and I have the extended battery...
I have no idea

I would try using GSAM or BetterBatteryStats to look for the battery eating service/wakelock. I noticed increased "stay awake" times with this ROM than the stock ROM, but it's not enough to raise havoc and the lowered CPU voltage makes the difference insignificant compared to having data on.

With the extended battery (it's nearly a year old so it doesn't get the life it used to, no more 2 week runtimes) I'm still getting about 15-20% usage per day with light to medium screen time, which was marginally more than the 10-15% of the stock ROM but still acceptable. Android OS does show as higher than it used to, but it's at 10% versus screen at nearly 40% and all radios combined at 30-35%. All apps combined, phone idle, and android system were the rest.

This is with JuiceDefender beta enabled on WiFi/Data on 15min schedule and all apps set to manual sync or push mode.

I'm having much better battery usage now compared to stock, I went 11 hours on 67% last night. Android OS is only taking 9% of my battery.

Is there a way to get the three navigation buttons as a regular jb device?

you talking about the on-screen nav buttons? Yes they can be enabled, but its takes up even more of a already small screen. Those are really for devices w/o hardware or cap buttons like the Galaxy Nexus and tablets.

cm10 is running very well on my Lucid, but id really love to experience Ubuntu Touch OS. but i dont have $400 for a nexus. anyone want to help get a thread going and kick this thing out?

i would wait to experience Ubuntu touch. While it looks very nice, nothing works, most of the apps are just pictures of what they may look like, and while they have it running on spectrum, there is no network (3G, 4G, and connection), bluetooth, and wifi is iffy.

the only working parts are that i've seen are the notification draw, phone/sms and web browser.

Lol,thanks how can they be enabled?

I can't wait for a stable build of Ubuntu Touch. I'll donate any assistance I can to get that on the Lucid when it comes out.

I might look into it after more things are working. It doesn't look too intimidating as we already have a working CM10 kernel; however, fixing all the issues again could be time consuming.

Finally freed the 35GB I think I need and will try a source CM build tomorrow, after git finishes checking out the source tree.

I tested out the Wifi direct app. This ROM worked w/out issue in client mode. But when I tried it in server mode, the ROM rebooted, twice.

I am only getting 3G on this phone. I ran a speed test and only was getting 1 MB down.

The spectrum ROM has the same issue, so it didn't magically fix itself. It appears to be a CM10/CM10.1 problem as shown in this post from the spectrum forums. I'd love to fix it, but I don't have another phone to test it on. Would you mind running "adb pull /proc/last_kmsg > kmsg.txt" immediately after the WiFi Direct crash with the phone plugged in on USB?

There are two people here not getting 4G. Could you go into the Mobile Network settings (More... under the settings drawer) and check the Network Mode? Mine is set to "LTE/CDMA/EvDo", try that and "LTE only" and see if you can get any 4G signals. It could be a baseband problem; the ZV8 flashable zip might fix the issue. If all else fails, try backing up, factory reset, waiting 5 minutes after it boots to the home screen, and seeing if you get 4G.

As a note, we should be able to use the same kernel for CM10.1/AOKP42 as the CM10 build according to the Quattrimus JB spectrum post. Unsure as to why PG couldn't get graphics to run.
