Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

Hey tickerguy thanks for everything! Great job with the port!

I still am having an issue with LED notification settings. Whenever I set messaging to green (or any other app), and I get a message the app force closes.

What should I do? Is it something on my end or is it something with CM7?

Thank you!

I signed up specifically because of tickerguy and his rom for the motorola triumph. It is arriving soon and is my very first android smartphone. Just lurking this thread I see from day to day how hard at work Tickerguy has been on this Rom. As well as isaac. Well I wanted to say thank you, and show my appreciation. I read on endgadget that the new market apk
v3.3.11 is out, and was just wondering if we can download and install it just like that on any rom?

The screen switches to the black for a few seconds then switch it back. Is this a bug ? Its so annoying. Or is there a way to fix it

Thank you, appreciate that. I try not to ask too many questions if I can find the answer myself. I have all files needed and have learned how to do everything for when I have the MT in my hands. But one last question, do I have to be rooted to install this rom, or can I do it right off the bat? Thanks again for your time. If we do need root first, no worries, I'll google it!

Yes, first you must root the phone and then you must install the latest clockworkmod7 for the Triumph on page 1 of this. then the rom and then the gapps but backup your original stock rom with clockwork mod first....

I did and it works fine for me.

Ticker, If you decide to jump T-Mobile i wish you the best of luck. I was also tempted but have decided to hold off a few months before moving on. I have seen many advertised awesome plans turn out to be horrible, cut-offs after excessive usage or severe throttling, the worst is being shut off. I have not seen T-Mobile do any of this but times change so i am going to wait, also if i did go now i would have to get the sgs2 and buy it out right about 550 usd. Just cause i like having the best and i would gowith the 30/month no/contract plan. Never talk on phone enough to break 100min a month anyways.

I thank YOU(Ticker), Isaac, and everyone that has tested along the way. I was very disappointed in this phone when i purchased it, but now this phone is a beast.

I know you are against the whole overclocking thing, but i would also like to vote for the CPU tables to be put in, i would hate to have to depend on something outsideof what you have made for us users, and the fact that something foreign in this rom could wreck havok on all the hard work you have done.
THANK YOU TICKER FOR EVERYTHING!!!!

Attempting to change the colors will not work unless you specify only a color that is "FF" (and "00" for all others) since there is no PWM in the lights driver.

I recommend not attempting to change the notification colors.

Yes; no subsidy. You can buy and use anything that's compatible though, no matter where you get it from.

In my case I happen to have a Vibrant.

So with the help of the following post from mantera I was able to resolve the HIDDEN SSID Not working per his post.

Here is the file from MUIU 10/23 to save you the download of the full ROM

Here is some instructions I created to fix the phone with screenshots
http://www.multitouchstudio.com/fix/FIXSSID.pdf

I first backed up my phone then did the "wipe data/factory reset" using CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.6. I then installed the fixed ROM, then installed the google apps. Rebooted and tested the wireless, works perfectly with the HIDDEN SSID now!!!

Enjoy :D

It sounds like Tickerguy is not getting this problem but I think many are. My battery is losing like 13% an hour doing about nothing. The Dialer and Android System are taking rediculous amounts.

Dialer is 46%, Android system is 46%, cell standby and phone idle are only using 4% each (they used to use the majority) and wifi is using only 2%. I first saw this on B05 and now I

Here's a flashable zip of just the wpa_supplicant file if you want to flash it separately. Of course, I have not done any extensive testing with using this wifi_supplicant file in CM7 so, as usual, do at your own risk...

Thanks, I used winrar, and opened the archive, and just dragged, and dropped to update the the file. Formatted /system only, and flashed it (really didn't want to have to wipe everything). So far, it's working like a charm. I've re-hidden my SSID, and it connects just fine.

Thank you so much for this find!

I'm not. Battery life on B6 is doing just great here.

I'd guess that either you didn't get a clean install and/or have some app that is causing you problems. Do a full format (dalvik cache, /cache, /system, /data) and install just the ROM. Don't bother restoring most of your apps. See if things work and if they do, slowly start installing apps until you identify the culprit.

Also if you have at any time played with resetting your battery stats, that might be your problem.

But the key here is to try and eliminate things. So start with a completely fresh install of the ROM with basically nothing other than GApps installed and see how things go. That will confirm/eliminate the possibility of a rogue app.

I've discovered this gem of an app last night and have been playing with it for a few hours with no issues. I am on b06 build of CM7

I forgot that the number one rule when getting any sort of issue with computers and other electronics is to reboot. Doing that seems to have solved the problem

TickerGuy, could you include this in the b07 or b08 update?
